And It’s Over…BlogHer12 Recaps:Part 1

Ok. WOW.

That’s the sum of how I felt about BlogHer12 weekend.

It.Was.Awesome!!!

And man am I tired.

Not only did I get to meet a ton of bloggers who I follow online, but I realized that MOST of them are EXACTLY the same as I thought they were! Which was a relief.

I also learned a TON.  So I can guarantee you will see some changes around My Life.

But, I’ve got to give you a recap! But it’s a lot of info, so you are going to be hearing about this all week! So if you don’t want to hear about Blogher……..

But I’m sure you do so  here goes

THURSDAY

After waking up impossibly early, I kissed my sleeping Pookah and drove off at 5am on my way back to Atlanta to catch my plane to New York.

Sunrise

I dropped my car off, took a quick shower, changed clothes and caught a cab to the airport.

And finally…..

Side note here, New York Cabbies drive CRAZY! I thought I would be loosing my life a couple of times. And on another note, why does anyone is New York drive???? The traffic is awful and you have a subway system that goes everywhere….

But I digress…

Hotel lobby

Checking in the hotel was great. I did it and then just unpacked and registered.

Mimi( Lipgloss and Binky) and Tasheena(Our Delightful Home)  shared a cab to my first party of the conference!

The awesomely fashionable Trina from The Baby Shopaholic hosted a Lipstick & High Heels party with EDEN Bodyworks.  Not only did I have THIS

But I met FINALLY met Candice @NYstateofMom,Nellie( @BklynActivemom) who made the awesomely good/dangerous red velvet cupcakes, Quiana @Harlemlovebirds and Dani from Ok Dani. ( and apparently I suck because I didn’t get photos with everyone!)

Afterwards, it was back to the hotel to enjoy The People’s Party and Queerosphere. The little red drink tickets that they handed out to everyone was a GREAT idea…for some….who can hold their liquor…..

The People’s Party……Hmmm…..maybe because we got there late??

And Queerosphere…..well….the food was good. And the company! And I kind of liked the ambiance.

And I got to meet Nadia(@Justicejonsie) from NicheMommy Network, Tamara(@BlitzandGlam), and Rhonda( @loomslidslayers).

It was sort of a glamorous swing era type party. With a singer, who oddly enough, couldn’t really sing..( in my humble humble opinion).

But we had drinks, fun, and more fun before we all stumbled off to bed to get ready for the next day.

Ok, that’s all for today.

I’m typed out! LOL

Note: these photos were all taken with my iphone because lugging my big girl camera out was just too much for me.

Stay tuned for the recap of the the first official day of the conference tomorrow!

Another sidenote: if I mixed up where I met you at, forgive me, I’m still in a fog over here…….
