Day 5: Love

I’ve written many drafts of for this post, and nothing sounds quite right.

LOVE is such a powerful word, such a powerful thing.

Websters Dictionary defines Love as

1 a (1) : strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties <maternal love for a child> (2) : attraction based on sexual desire : affection and tenderness felt by lovers (3) : affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests <love for his old schoolmates> b : an assurance of love <give her my love>

Love for me means several things:

The feeling I get when I come home from work in the morning and get that great big smile from Pookah and sloppy kiss.

The sacrifice of my mother to spend three months with me after I had my baby.   Just so she could make sure I was OK.

The joy that I feel as I watch C-Dub with Pookah being an awsome father.

Remembering why I married C-Dub and waking up to that face everyday.

I think love changes.  I think it deepens and weakens and it has many layers.

Love is what you make it.

What’s your definition of love?
