One Month of My New Normal

I’ve been on dayshift for a month now.

The CONS:

I gained 6 pounds.

What You Talkin Bout Willis???

WHAAAAAAAT??

Yeah. Seems as though eating regular meals, 4 o clock snack at work( a wonderful thing that always includes baked goods) and then coming home only to eat whatever fast food CDub has picked up has really done me in.

*cries*

I got on the scale Wednesday morning and just SOBBED. I did immediately get off of said scale and go for a run to my credit.  I HAD too.  I ran three miles before almost passing out in my driveway.  The next day, I decided that enough was enough. I packed my lunch, didn’t go to Starbucks for my Venti White Chocolate Mocha, and ate a sensible breakfast and dinner.  And I avoided 4 o’clock snack like a plague.  I will loose these damn 6 pounds AND a few more. I don’t want to say how many, but I need wiggle room.

Moving on.

The PROS:

Working the dayshift for the last month has also allowed me to be home every evening. I have dinner with my guys.  I get to put my boy to sleep every night.  I sleep in my bed every night.  I’ve started to reorganize my house again.  I’ve been cooking actual meals, not just throw togethers.  I take my boy to the park when I pick him up from daycare instead of rushing him home so I can rush to work. I blog on a schedule.  I take pictures.  I have sex. 🙂

I’ve been happy.

I like it.

I'm happy to hear about all the good your new schedule has produced! Sorry about the weight gain. But...I'm sure if you stick to your plan of eating right and exercising, it will come off in no time!!
