rain rain go away….

I meant to post something yesterday, but I was too busy building my ark to try to float out of Atlanta.

Raining cats and dogs isn’t even the word for it! If you have been following the news, you know what I’m talking about.  No one can get anywhere here, because even the highways are flooded and closed down.  It’s been the ONLY good reason I can think of that I’ll glad I’m laid off and don’t have to drive in that mess.  C-Dub worked from home yesterday because really, he couldn’t get out of our side of town, let alone to work.  I feel so bad for all of those people whose houses are totally underwater now(the rivers and creeks are overflowing).  because of course, most of us didn’t think we needed flood insurance.

I guess I have to be grateful that at LEAST, my house is not underwater.  But my roof is leaking. GREAT.

Anyway.  Nothing else new.  Just glued to the TV.

Oh, my Moby wrap that I won on Ebay arrived yesterday.  I really wanted one, and had bid and won before I got laid off, so I guess it’s the last thing I’ll be buying for now.

Glad you're ok. Where I used to live (with TR) is also flooding (I just realized yesterday). Hope the rain moves on very soon.

I thought the same thing too when I saw the downtown connector "I guess it worked out I got laid off." I didnt get laid off exactly... my contract ended.... but same difference I guess.

Congrats on your pregnancy!

The wrap is cute, but what do you do when you're at the mall? I've seen people all over with these carriers strapped to them and babies all hugged to their chest, but what happens when you go to the potty? Do you take it off and hang the baby on the door? Or do you let his feet dangle in the water? I don't know, I think I may like the stroller option better! (And yes, I am the only idiot who thinks of these things.)

OMG, I know what you mean. I'm just about 2 hours north of you and we've gotten nonstop rain here too. It's worse in North GA, but some schools around here have been closed for a few days. I work at a university and I kept hoping that I'd see the school on the list of closed places, but alas.... Here I am!

I hope it stops soon, I'm so tired of rain!
