Sleep Chronicles

So, I changed the name of my blog.

Hmmmmm.

Anyway.  The Miracle blanket.  Well.  I had been putting in on him randomly.  I didn’t put it on Wednesday night, because that was the night he had a fever from the vaccinations.  And he was cranky and tired.  So, I didn’t want to try anything new.

Fastforward: I tried it for a couple of naps.  It went ok.  It is kind of complicated to get on at first.  It makes me think that I’m going to wake him up while trying to put him in it.  And it reminds me of a straight jacket.  Seriously.  Do I really want to put my child in something that reminds me of a straight jacket?

So anyway, fast forward to last night.  Valentines night.  I was DETERMINED to have sex with my husband.  DETERMINED.  Even though to be honest, I should be taking it easy in that department.   I have not been taking my birth control pills like I am supposed to.  I mean come on, I haven’t thought about birth control in over 2 years!  It’s hard with a newborn to remember to take that thing everyday at the SAME time.

But sexual relations must resume with my husband.

So anyway, all of this to say that the Pookah fell asleep early last night, around 930.  I went ahead and put in the miracle blanket, thinking it would at least give me an hour of uninterrupted time with C-Dub.

Well, it gave me FOURWOW I thought at 130 am, he slept 4 hours!  I re-wrapped him after his feeding and he slept THREE more hours.  WOW.  Pookah woke up really refreshed and WIDE awake around 630.   And he didn’t sleep well today.  But it’s 930, and he is asleep again.  I think I’ll try the miracle blanket again tonight.

Got to make sure it wasn’t a fluke.

Hello, please pardon the intrusion. I’m Mike Gatten, inventor of Miracle Blanket. Your blog was brought to my attention because of your mention of the Miracle Blanket. I can’t thank you and others enough for helping us spread the word because people just don’t believe us when we tell them it might be “this easy.” That's why word-of-mouth has been the biggest source of growth for us since day one.

To show our gratitude I'd like to send you a free Miracle Blanket. If you don’t need it for yourself you might give it as a gift or maybe a giveaway on your blog.

Please contact Susan in Marketing and let her know what color you would like.

[email protected] or (214) 675.0539.

And again, thank you very much.

I have a miracle blanket too but have only used it a few times. It does seem like a straight jacket! I have been using these lightweight aden and anais swaddle blankets, but I have to wrap her up after she falls asleep, and I can never get it very tight. I am inspired by your success though, and I will try it again with her. How do you do it so that you don't wake him up?

I've gotten better at it, i have it all laid out and wrap him really quick. He wakes up sometimes, but i just pat him on his back a few times and he goes back to sleep.
