Snowpocalypse 2010

Yeah so, I’ve been missing in action.

If you hadn’t heard, we’ve had Snowpocalypse here in Atlanta this week and the whole city basically shut down.  Roads didn’t get cleared, schools closed all week, most businesses closed all week.  But I’m a nurse.  In a hospital.

Yeah, you get where I’m going with this.

I got stuck, STUCK there Sunday/Monday when it first started snowing. and snowing and snowing.  None of the nurses for Day shift showed up.  Soooo, that meant that even though I worked 12 hours, I had to stay over until SOMEONE anyone showed up.

Finally, enough  nurses showed and I was able to go home around 11 am.  In  treacherous conditions.

I had to go back on Tuesday night.  Sigh. Bad doesn’t even describe it.

At least work wasn’t that bad.  The nurses couldn’t get in, and neither could the patients.

Pookah’s daycare finally opened up on Wednesday.  And we promptly sent him.  It was his first day.  He did soooo well!!!!  It seems that ravioli is something he really loves!! He had two helpings of it!!! Of course, I rushed out and got some, only to have him NOT eat it today at daycare. SMH.  But they are really really patient with him.  Because of course, he is not napping too well.  But I am pleased that he is drinking out of the sippy cup.  I didn’t send any bottles, hoping that he would go ahead and take it.  He did, but by the time I got him home, he was begging me for “ba ba”.

So I am pleased with my choice.  He seems to love his new teachers( but then, Pookah is a little free with his kisses). And the meals are nutritional.

Of course, because of Snowpocalypse, we missed his allergy appointment.  But never fear!! It is rescheduled for Tuesday.  And I. Can’t. Wait.

I feel like there is always an axe hanging over our heads whenever he tries something new.  I’ll be glad when I know for SURE what he’s allergic to.  And the Lactaid milk is….going.  He still has some really really strange poops.  I think they boarder on intolerance to Lactaid too.  But he’s not gassy, no diarrhea.  But the poops are very very light.  And they only get color when he has something like carrots. But the smell…..

OK, enough about poop!

C-Dub and I are doing OK.  I gave in and just had sex with him SEVERAL times.

Things have been really pleasant around here.

So, that’s all that’s been going on around here.  I’m going to try try try to return to regularly scheduled programing next week!

What have you guys been up to??I’m working on reading all of your blogs!

And Yay for Pookah and Ravioli's.

Woohoooo for sex! Lol

When you switch milk and add solids the poop is crazy. It'll even out. I'm curious to see what you find out about his allergies tho. My little cousin was allergic to everything under the sun when he was small. He's now able to have more things but he's 8 lol

Lol at sex. That always makes things better with them. It's like the equivalent of Midol.
