It’s no secret that I love taking photos with my iphone. But I often get asked what I use when I take my photos with my iphone and what other apps I use to edit. WELL!! Today, I’m going to tell you about my top 5 iphone apps that I think all folks who want to take great iphone photos should use.
This my friends, is a no brainer. It’s like a mini twitter, but with photos instead of words. I love love love instagram. There are cool filters to use that can make any photo go from blah to wow in a few short minutes. It’s a window into the everyday lives of your friends, celebrities, other bloggers, people you want to spy on ( oh…just me?). There are cool challenges always on instagram to get your creative juices flowing by using hashtags. It’s just….GREAT! Get on instagram my friends….
If you use instagram, you may find yourself from time to time, uploading a photo you have taken with your iphone only to find that your photo has been resized. That’s because photos taken with your iphone are not compatible with the Instagram format (SHAME!) Squareready takes care of that for you. It crops your photo to a square format without loosing the basic composition of your photo. 🙂
3. VSCO CAM
This is another filter based editing app. There is a camera that you can use, but I never do, istead, I upload my photos from my camera roll into the app. I mainly use this iphone app when I am going to convert my photos to black and white or give them a matte look.
This is my go to app when I want to just take a photo, edit/add a filter quickly and post it to instagram, facebook or twitter. The camera app is my iphone replacement app you might say. I use this app instead of my iphone camera all.the.time. The editing in the app is filter based so it’s: take a photo, choose a filter, save, upload. Love it.
And finally, this is my favorite favorite app to edit my photos with. It is literally like having Lightroom in the palm of my hand, just for my iphone photos. I usually use snapseed when my photos look great, but just need a little tweaking to make it look as natural as possible. It’s clean editing for your iphone.
And that folks is it. I play around with a few more every now and then, but these five are my GO TO iPhone apps when it comes to iphonography.
What about you guys? Did I miss anything? What are your favorites iphone apps for photography?
