Travel Stories: Cocoa Beach

Cooca beach florida

A few weeks ago, we visited Cocoa Beach.

The beach is our happy place. We seriously have conversations about selling everything and moving to a little beachside town where we can walk to the beach everyday. SO when we actually get to visit the beach, we are reluctant to leave. And we stay alllll day.  We’ve explored lots of beaches all along the Florida Coast, but never Cocoa Beach.  When we decided to visit Disney, there was no way we were leaving Florida before visiting somebody’s beach. Cocoa Beach was about an hour from Orlando and easy to get to. We stopped on the way in for a few snacks and water and a beach umbrella ( thank you Dollar Tree), found a parking space and walked right over to the beach.

The town of Cocoa Beach makes me nostalgic for old seaside beach towns. As we walked down the streets and took in older condos and little white washed houses, C Dub started singing the theme song to I dream of Jeannie ( if you are too young to remember that, look it up).

But we would live here. Maybe open up a little beach side barbecue and bookstore….become Beach bums…
