Saturdays ( A Photography Project): Week 13

After 13 weeks, I still love this iPhoneography project, Saturdays.

We drove down to see my parents on Friday night after work. If you have been following my blog, you know that my father is sick. Due to work and other obligations, I can’t get down to see him as often as I would like, but this week, I made the time. Pookah loves to go, and playing with his cousins and loving on his Grandma is at the top of his to do list. But of course, we deal with tears every time it’s time to go. Sigh. I always want to cry to. :-(.

But we love spending time with family, even if it is only for a little while.

I love that as only child, Pookah gets to play with so many cousins and that they love him as much as he loves them.

I love the smell of the fig trees in my mother’s backyard.

The taste of her biscuits.

The hot summer breeze on the screened in porch.

The way my father’s eyes watch me as I tell him about the dream I had about him last week…..

This was our Saturday …..

Love these. I have been more intentional on how and when I take photos I am so busy trying to set the scene when sometimes I just need to take the picture.
