Why I Hate Spring

It’s been a long week. I am sleep deprived. But there is one thing I know for sure.

I hate Spring.

I used to love it.

I used to rejoice in the flowers blooming, the warm weather, the blue skies, the trees blooming.

Now, Spring means this.

And swollen itchy eyes that wake a 4 year old up every 3-4 hours every night.( when the Benadryl wears off).

And multiple trips to the dr and multiple call outs at work.

And the endless suffering of one 4 year old who should have been happily hunting eater eggs yesterday at school rather than being held hostage by the pollen indoors.

Sigh.

Poor Pookah! I feel your pain. JJ had to get on his earlier this month. He hates that thing with a passion and I do not look forward to having to hold him down so that he'll leave his mask on. This year we won't be doing too many outdoor events.

I think indoor swim lessons, library trips and the indoor playground are going to be our three weekly activities.

Aww man! I wouldn't wish allergies/asthma on my worse enemy! I have both and am attacked by spring pollen every year. Besides missing work or school, the doctor bills and medicine are super expensive. Hope your little one gets better!
