Monday Morning Thoughts

My first weekend off was OK.

Of course, I didn’t get to sleep in at all, but we’ll have to negotiate that later.

Saturday, I had to color, wash and retwist my locs.  That, my friends is a process.  it’s longer and its thick.  So getting it to dry is just……

So, Pookah and I basically stayed in most of the day. C-Dub went to play golf in the afternoon since he could. Pookah and I just lounged on the couch until I decided that we needed to get out of the house.  Why I thought Walmart was a good idea….I don’t know.

Sunday.

I meant to get up and go to church.

*crickets*

But since we missed that, I made a big breakfast and we chilled.

I cleaned, washed clothes, thought about going to see Breaking Dawn, and then just chose to continue to sit around.

Because I could.

After Pookah woke up from  his nap, we went to the park and I took a few photos.  Well, a lot of photos. Still editing those. But here is one.

Then we went to dinner, and Pookah actually behaved himself.  Wow.

Came home, bickered with the hubby.

Put Pookah to bed.

And decided to have a “talk” with C-Dub.

That didn’t go well.

I didn’t yell, he didn’t yell.

But, it didn’t go well.

And that’s all I’m going to say on that.

Sigh.

How was your weekend?

I have been a following your blog for a while and I never leave comments. Just want to let you know that I love your blog. I have a little girl a couple of months younger than your son and your photos have inspired me to try to capture these years in print again. Hang in there with your hubby it will get better. Maybe you can find a babysitter and have a monthly date night to start. Get dressed up and hit the town.

Marriage, marriage, marriage. As long as no yelling was involved it was successful. I have often pondered about writing about the awful time in my marriage when we were still figuring out our roles but I don't know if I am ready to air all of that laundry. That being said, I think you are helping others who are going through the same thing. I've walked that and trust me it gets better, but lawd in the meantime. The first step for us was to stop the yelling. Try to make that a habit, it levels the playing field a bit.

I'm rambling now! Yay for Saturday and for the cute pic of Pookah!

This weekend I ran around like a chicken with no head. I hate shopping for ingredients for Thanksgiving, everyone has the same idea I have. Both days I was in two grocery stores, and both trips my daughter nursed and fell asleep--leaving me to hold her during our trip.

I also had to was my locks as well, didn't get around to doing that until today. Like always, it takes all day to dry.

Yay for getting a weekend off!! Boo to arguing with your husband :( that's never fun. But at least there was no yelling! That's a plus!

If you got what you needed to off your chest AND there was no yelling I consider it a good talk, at least everyone knows how the other is feeling/thinking. That little guy is getting so much more handsome w every shot. Hope you get used to having your weekends back soon! I tried to be bum this weekend, didn't work but I got some studying in ;-)
