SOC Sunday: Weight Woes

 

I need to loose weight…...

So, I’m fed up with my weight. The yo yoing, the up and down, whatever you want to call it. I’m tired of it.  I’m tired of the mindless eating when I know better, the choosing mcdonalds and eating a double cheeseburger instead of that salad. I’m tired of all the excuses i give myself not to get up off of my ass and exercise.  I know that exercise works for me.  I know that eating right works for me too.  I hate diets, but they work too. I’m considering doing something drastic like doing HCG. I mean for me that’s REALLY drastic becasue 1) it costs too much and 2) I’d have to give myself a shot.  Now, there are the drops over at GNC that you just put under your tounge.  And they are only a fraction of the price at about $50.  But really, do I want to do that? I’m kind of desperate over here.  It’s not like I’m really huge or anything, I’m just getting too close to my magic no no weight number.  I’m THIS close.  And I can’t blame it on anything but me and these damn birth control pills( yes, the pills do make you fat!).  But what can I do? I refuse to have another baby right now, and this is the easiest thing for me right now.  But back to the main point, I need to loose weight! The only question remains, how to do it??????

You know what makes me mad? ME. I know what to do to lose weight but I like food. I enjoy eating. I don't like exercising. So what right do I have to complain when I don't do anything to make myself healthy? There really are no shortcuts. It's just changing your mindset. If you figure out how to do that, let me know.

I too am sick of my weight. I made a video recently and sounded like Darth Vader I was breathing so hard. I used to beat myself up over this, but decided I didn't get fat overnight, and I'm not going to lose it overnight. I know it sounds hokey, but fifteen minutes a day is a great start. Walking around the block, yoga, squats, something. But ONLY fifteen minutes to start. After that, you'll start craving more and your body and mind will be ready for it. I'm rooting for you over here!

Well, I decided I didn't want pills anymore, as they made me even more neurotic than normal! So, I got an IUD, and they're the most wonderful, amazing birth control ever! They're good for 5 years, you can take it out anytime, and you're fertile immediately, there's no waiting period...I loved mine, and am getting another one soon!

You can do it... I Was the same way this time last year.It took me not being able to fit any of my clothes for me to say HECK NO!!!! When you get to your breaking point something will snap and you will get motivated. I started off eating right then exercising... Also look for BGR for your neighborhood. Start off walking and then you may run!!!

I feel your pain. I just did 6 weeks on Paleo and lost 12 lbs. THEN to celebrate I binged for 8 days. URgh.

I hate diets but sometimes is has to be done. I was so sick of people asking when my next baby was due.

Good luck. I did find having a support group really helps.
