Sunday

Soooo.

It’s Sunday.

Nothing much going on around here.

I just won the battle of the morning: Pookah is taking a nap.

Mommy 1 Pookah 1.

I give him a 1 because he fought the nap from 10 am till noon.  So he won until he couldn’t fight me anymore.

On another note, I got the position.  Let me explain this full time position in nursing world.  I am going to be working what’s called Baylor.  You work every weekend and get paid full time hours.  At my hospital, they called it WEO.  I am doing WEO +1.  Which means, I give up every Saturday and Sunday night and for extra money, work one night during the week also.   It makes me full time.  3 nights a week.  I can do this.  I think I get about 10 weekends off a year.  So, there is that.  More importantly, this will lessen the fights between me and C-Dub about him getting home from work on time for me to be able to get to work on time.  And….there will be extra money.

I mean, I calculated what my check is going to be and almost passed out.

We have been basically living paycheck to paycheck for the last 12 months(since I got laid off).  With this new position, we will be in a BETTER position that we were before.  After I pay off all delinquent bills that is.

OMG.

This is such a load off.

I start this position in two weeks.  Just in time for Christmas.

Wow.

I am so excited.

For the money that is.  For the stress to be lifted off of my shoulders.  For me not to have to rob Peter to pay Paul anymore.  And if my mortgage gets modified in the meantime, WOW.  Life will be excellent.

Looking forward to better times.  2011 is already looking fabulous!

Congratulations on getting the position! At the end of the day it will be worth it. Less money stress makes for a happier mommy and the pookah will notice it! I'm happy for y0u!

My sister in law is a pediatric nurse and she works the same schedule. She loves it! It gives her the chance to be home with her kids and take them and pick them up from school and whatnot.

Congrats on the new position!

So all you have to do is work 3 nights a week and that counts as 40 hours? I need to find a job like that. But then again...never having a Sat/Sun off would be tough.
