Family Night Out at Ted’s Montana Grill

As Pookah gets older and begins to understand that he can’t eat everything that everyone else can eat, it has become even more important to us to find good quality places he can eat AND that we enjoy at the same time.

It’s hard out here folks.

For example, he can eat Pizza everyday.

We…cannot.

One of the not so fun things about having a child with food allergies, is that you can’t just up and go to any old restaurant for our Family Nights Out.  So we have our favorites. And Ted’s Montana Grill just happens to be at the top of the list.

One of our favorite places to eat is at Ted's Montana Grill! It's one of our favorite spots here in Atlanta.

The menu is classic with lots of classic American food: meatloaf, burgers, fries…and a great Gluten Free Menu for Pookah.

Plus the atmosphere is just one we love.  The waitstaff is so knowledgeable, and everyone is so friendly. We just keep coming back.

But the food is really what keeps us coming back time and time again. CDub and I usually get the Bison Burger( the Swiss and Mushroom please!!) and Pookah loves the grilled chicken and broccoli( he is fascinated with the size of the broccoli and can he fit it ALL in his mouth!)

So glad you have found places that work for you. I am on the Board of Director a non-profit organization in my area that provides support and advocacy for families living with food allergies (we have members of all ages; I am 41 and deal with food allergies). We don't specify gluten/celiac's as a food allergy, as it is an actual medical condition/disease. However, I know lots of families that also deal with having to be on gluten-free diets - it is a challenge!

Me and boys always love to try new places to eat! That broccoli and grilled chicken looks really good! I'm sure it does taste good to considering your little one loves it. And I must say, you have amazing photos!

Wow, as if it weren't hard enough already to take kids out to eat, to have to contend with food allergies must be a bear! So glad you found a place that works. By the way, I really admire your photos! Can you share some info about what you're shooting with (camera & lens) and what settings you're using? I'd love to know.
