Thanksgiving, New Orleans and 365s
I took my Canon 7D , really I did.
I even took a few photos with it.
( and yes, he made my ovaries twitch, but I ignored it!!!)
But between late night travel, cooking some of Thanksgiving dinner, stuffing my face, traveling with a toddler, and getting home again, my big girl rarely had a chance to see what we were up to.
I’ve had my Olloclip for a while, but I rarely use it. But I took a breakout class over at Clickin Moms with Melissa Gibson that made me rethink it and take it out.
I found out that I really love the fish eye lens. It’s such a great quirky wide angle lens that was perfect for traveling light with toddler in tow. In fact, almost all of my photos in New Orleans were taken with it.
All of this olloclip use with my iphone 5 plus doing the #30daysofthanks on instagram last month really made me stop and reevaluate a few things. I will of course continue my 365 with my 7D, but don’t be surprised if a few iPhone photos make their way into it. In fact, I might have a day that is designated iPhone day! We’ll see.
Anyhoo, that was my weekend in a nutshell in photos that is. I kind of enjoyed myself. There is something to be said for being the ONLY female in the house with a family of males. (Mother in law and both sisters in laws were working).
But enough about me, how was your Thanksgiving weekend??
I just found my olloclip the other day. You make me want to bring it back out. I never really used it that much but I do love the look of the fish eye.
I have been dying to go to New Orleans, I think I may try to get there sometime this year. We laid low for Thanksgiving, just how I like it. Now its time to get back in the groove and I sure don’t want to.
I LOVE these! New Orleans is beautiful. As much as I love my “real” camera, I use my phone soooo much. It’s nearly always in my hand or back pocket and it’s light! We went all out for turkey day. We had way too much food for two adults and two kids.
Love the fish eye y’all and your fancy iphones *sigh*. I love New Orleans I have not been back since Mardi a few years ago it’s nice down there food is a bit spicy but overall I love it.
Happy belated Thanksgiving! Love how the olloclip pics turned out! Now if only it’ll come out for Droid . . . I’ve always wanted to go to New Orleans and your pics are making me want to book a trip next year.
There is the photojojo android lens series! Go to photojojo.com !!
i love the pics. Your hubs has really strong genes on his side of the family. They all look alike.
I’m glad you’re finally publicly admitting those ovaries were jumpin lol
The baby is so sweet and he gives those good juicy baby kisses. sigh
You really to take beautiful pictures! My Thanksgiving was fabulous! Seeing your pictures make me wish I took more pictures. Sigh! Ah well, there’s always Christmas!
Yes, get that baby on camera for Christmas!!
Very nice shots. I haven’t been to New Orleans since I was a teenager and that was on a band trip, so it doesn’t even count. It’s on my list.
That baby, though!! Be still my heart!
He is just so juicy!!!
So that yummy brown baby above made my ovaries twitch too! Your photos are beautiful and touchable if that makes sense LOL.
