Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know about the Snowpocalypse that still has its grip on us here in Atlanta.
Pookah’s school closed at 1230. It took CDub 2 hours to get to him. I left work at 125. I took me 1 hour to get out of my parking lot. I arrived at home at 454 pm. 3 1/2 hours after I left my desk.
I was one of the lucky ones. It wasn’t until I got home and watched the news and got on Facebook and got texts from co workers who left BEFORE me and still were not home, that I realized the magnitude of what was going on out there.
To say Atlanta doesn’t do snow is an understatement.
I can only be grateful that this time, I didn’t work at the hospital. I watched as my former co workers got stuck at the hospital with no relief and the ones who were at home threatened if they didn’t make their way unsafely to the hospital. SMH. I’m so glad my job closed early on Tuesday( contributing to the madness) and stayed closed Wednesday and today.
My driveway is a sheet of ice anyway. It’s pretty, but I barely got up the hill, I am not trying to go down.
Anyhoo. Pookah Cdub and I have been chillin. Watching TV, playing outside in the snow, doing a little bit of school work, more play in the snow,eating…..
( Thank God my Mother taught me to have a full deep freezer.)
Anyhoo. With nothing else to do, you know I took photos! LOL
Enjoy.

I spent 11+ hours on the road trapped in that mess that turned to ice. Your pictures make it look pretty tho...

Oh the Atlanta snow! I'm glad to hear that your family was able to get home okay. This has been a complete mess. I mean just knowing that so many had to abandon their cars after hours of sitting in traffic only to sleep in grocery stores...smh! My honey and I fared well in the storm, but he didn't get home until 7:00 after leaving for home at 12:30. This should really teach our state/city officials how to prepare for natural disasters. Cute snow pics btw!

Your pictures will never NOT slay me. Can't wait until you start having classes for people to sign up to learn how to get like you. Also, I so do not miss working in the hospital on days like we just had in Atlanta. Do not miss being told, "well you have to come in." Nope, not at all.

Some of the stories I've heard have been so terribly sad. I really feel for all of you having to deal with that mess but on a positive note, those pictures are stunning! Thank you for sharing!
