I’ve had my iPhone 4 for 3 months now. And I am so attached to it that if it went missing or died I would go gently into that good night with it.
It is my lifesaver! I LOOOOOOVE it!
One of the best things about an iPhone is the apps. I love apps. You can find one to do basically whatever you want! But, here are a few that I couldn’t live without.
CalenGoo
I love my google calender. But my problem was that my old phone would only sync outlook. So I would end up with two calenders. Plus a planner to carry around with me. Three calenders means something always gets missed. The beauty of CalenGoo is that it syncs with the google calender. I can plug in something on my phone, and later when I look on my laptop, it’s there. Likewise with the computer. I looooove it. It has made keeping track of my bills, appointments, work schedule, and Pookah’s appointments EASY. Now if I could get C-Dub to use google for his calender, I could sync that too and life would be awesome. But it’s expensive. THE most expensive app I have at $6.99. But it was worth every penny!
Grocery Gadget
Let me tell you, I searched and tried about 5 different grocery apps(paid and otherwise) before stumbling onto this wonderful app! I needed one that would let me keep up with groceries that I bought before and their prices so that I could know how much I was spending before I got to the store. Or at least to the register. This app does that. If you scan the bar-code on the side of a product, it plugs it in!! You can keep track of how much an item is at different stores. You can shop by recipes. You can arrange your shopping by aisles! I LOOOOVE this! Once again, an app to make my life easier. There is a FREE version and a paid version. I am using the free with no problems.
Evernote
In one word: Great. It’s like the ultimate list maker. I can jot down ideas for a blog post, I can make a to do list. I can take a picture of an item in the store that I want to add to my wish list or that I want to show someone and then store it in my “note.” It’s great for someone like me who used to carry around a little notebook to jot stuff down so that I wouldn’t forget. And this app is FREE.
WordPress
Yes, I can blog from my phone. I can approve and comment on comments on my blog. And it’s FREE. Nuff said.
Byline
Speaking of blogging, this app is my Google Reader for my phone. It is synced to my Google Reader and I can read posts. If I want to comment, I just hit a button and it takes me to the actual blog to make a comment on. Simple, easy, convenient. And the FREE version is just like the paid. Only with advertisements that you can ignore.
I love love love this app! I love taking photos( if you hadn’t noticed) and this lets me take pictures and add effects. And then share on Twitter, Tumbler, Facebook, Flickr…… It’s soo addictive. And FREE!
Twitter and Facebook
Had to combine the two, because I can’t live without the two it seems. Twitter was a hard one for me. I had been using Ubersocial on my Blackberry, but it’s not the same on the iPhone version, so I found myself trying out almost every twitter app in app store. Sigh. I finally just settled on the FREE basic twitter app.
Instapaper
You know how you click on a link on Twitter or on Facebook and it looks interesting but you don’t have time to read it now because the baby is pulling on your leg? Instapaer makes it soo easy for you just to click “read later” and then….read later! But it is $4.99 for this convenience. 🙂
My Fitness Pal
I haven’t been logging on lately, but this app helped me to loose 15 pounds. It keeps track of my calories and my exercise. How easy is that? And, it’s FREE.
Angry Birds and Words with Friends
Whether you get the free or the paid version. The original Angry Birds or Angry Birds Rio, both of these apps are time stealers. And I looooove them!!! Get them so you can be addicted too! My user name on Words with Friends is rosesdaughter by the way :-).
So those are my Top 10 apps for my iphone. What are yours?
Disclaimer:
I was not paid by Apple or any of the creators of these apps to review or say that I like them. Apple does not know I exsist. I wish they did, but life goes on.
