Training for a Peachtree……

So.

As you know by now, C-Dub and I got into the Peachtree Road race that is held every 4th of July here in Atlanta.

In conjuntion, C-Dub decided he wanted to do the South Beach diet to loose those pesky 25 pounds that have been hanging on to him for the last year.  In reaction to the idea of having to cook two meals, buy two types of groceries, I decided to do the damn diet with him.

And if I’m really honest, the idea of him loosing weight and me still being at my current weight was………..

Not a good one.

So. We are one in the loosing weight department.

Now, I can’t wait on him in terms of training for this race.  He will put it off forever.

FOREVER!

Like, I keep asking, when are we going to start.  I’ll go in the morning, you go in the evening.  I get a vague yeah yeah, but nothing concrete.

Screw him.  I’m going to do a bootcamp starting next week, just to help me get started and start running April 1st.

Whatever he does, is up to him.

But like I said before. I will finish this race…..running.

  1. Good luck with South Beach (excellent diet), Boot Camp, and race training. You should check out The Complete Encyclopedia of Running. I forget who the author is, but there are lots of nice pictures and running plans. Press on girl!
