I love love love Chocolate Covered strawberries.
They are a simple dessert that is perfect for weekend brunch, charcuterie board options, dinner party, late night treat Valentines’ Day Gift or any other special occasion I personally got so tired of not only the prices for Chocolate covered strawberries, but I also got tired of worrying that they chocolate coating had been cross contaminated by gluten.
So I learned how to make them and now im sharing my recipe for this sweet treat with you! So if this is your first time making this chocolate-covered strawberry recipe, never fear! This is an easy recipe: only 3 ingredients needed!
Ingredients Needed for Gluten Free Chocolate Covered Strawberries
( see the recipe card below for exact measurements)
- fresh strawberries ( ripe strawberries are best)
- chocolate chips ( dark chocolate chips or white chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips are perfect) The Enjoy life chocolate chips brand is one of my favorite brands for food allergies.
- coconut oil
How to make Gluten Free chocolate Covered strawberries
- Melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil on low heat in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl for about 2 minutes, or until melted. Whisk together until well combined.
- Dip each individual strawberry in the melted chocolate mixture, make sure to keep the green leaves and stems clean.
- Let them rest on a baking sheet with parchment paper in a single layer to catch the dripping chocolate.
- Put them in the fridge to let the chocolate harden for at least 30 minutes.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, enjoy, or keep refrigerated.
How To Store your Gluten Free Chocolate Covered Strawberries
If you don’t eat your room temperature strawberries after making them they can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. For best results, the easiest way to store them is to line an airtight container with paper towels or wax paper before adding your strawberries.

- – 2 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
