Harry Potter and the half Blood Prince

Yes, I am a die hard Harry Potter fan.

Yes, I went to see the movie today.

I didn’t have VERY high expectations.  After all, it is a movie based on a book.  And movies based on books tent tend to leave stuff out.  They have to.  Or else, the movie would be 6 hours long.

But I mean, HELLO! They left out sooooo much stuff.  And added other stuff.  I don’t remember the Burrow being burned down.  What happened to the fight scene at the end of the book where the Order of the Phoenix and the kids fight together?  What happened to Dumbledore’s funeral?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MOVIE??????????????

I am soooooooooo disappointed.

I am NOT looking forward to the last two movies.

  1. My sister saw it and said the exact same thing! Guess I don’t feel too bad about not being able to get to the movies these days!

  2. Yeah, I was also not happy about the movie. I had just re-read HBP in anticipation and I watched it this past Saturday. The attack on the Burrow was NOT in the book… And I was SO DISAPPOINTED that there was no end battle. There were many, MANY things I was unhappy with in the movie!!!! I just hope they don’t royally screw the last movies up.

  3. crap. I though D died, but I wasn’t sure…. hehehe. Can’t wait to go see it though! I have read a couple books, but I must admit I’m more of the HP movie goer… Which is odd since I never see a movie without reading the book first….

  4. Oh the translations of books into movie. I read the book Julie & Julia and I am really looking forward to the movie, but can the movie capture the whining/potty mouth Julie? Or are we going to have a sweet and clean mouth Julie? Since the movie I think is rated PG-13.

Stopping by for an ICLW visit…

  5. Happy ICLW!

I read the book when it came out and LOVED it! I read it so fast because I just couldn’t wait to get to the end! I haven’t seen the movie yet. I’m nervous about it. I always k now I’ll be disappointed. Maybe I’ll see it since I haven’t read the book in a long time.

Glad all is well with your pregnancy and baby. Coco butter was a staple for me. As was baby oil. It felt SO good just to rub it on my belly!
