I know that New Orleans and the French Quarter have always been considered an adult playground, but honestly, it’s one of our favorite places to visit as a family. Anytime my husband suggests a trip to New Orleans, my favorite city in the USA, I jump and pack a bag with the quickness. Spring break was last week, and although I had no plans to go anywhere, we decided last minute to take a trip down.
It was so much fun.
I’ll have to do a separate post on the food and other areas of New Orleans we got to, because the FOOD WAS EVERYTHANG and New Orleans is so much more than the French Quarter.
But for now, I wanted to share a few photos I took from our stroll on Bourbon Street and in the French Quarter after dinner one night. Where we randomly met up with my brother and his new FIANCEE( yes, he’s romantic and proposed to her on her birthday in New Orleans.)
Pookah had fun, loved watching the street performers and got um…educated on a few things French Quarter style. I personally just love people watching and snapping photos. There is just something about the French Quarter: people walking down Bourbon Street with drinks in their hands( Hurricane’s anyone?), hearing music spontaneously pop up, rowdy behaviors, interesting characters and all the colors!
Between the food, the architecture, the slow southern drawl of the locals and the history of the city, the it really is my favorite place. I could photograph it again and again. I WILL visit again and again ( girls trip anyone). There are so many corners I know I missed!
So anyway, enjoy the photos and stick around until the end! Even though I didn’t talk about our entire trip, I’ve included a video from our trip at the end! Enjoy!
And here is the video as promised! I’ll post more about our trip soon!

I never thought about how fun a trip to New Orleans could be with my kids. It's somewhere I've always wanted to visit with a bunch of foodies so we could hit up all the great places to eat. Oh and the pic with the lady with the nipple jewelry caught me by surprise, that was interesting lol!!
