The Monthly R.E.P.O.R.T: Volume 2
I had grand plans at the beginning of the year to make these weekly.
But life reminded me of all the balls that I have in the air and that I need better systems for everything and so here I am, changing this to monthly.
So let’s get into it.

R. Reading
I finally finished Onyx Storm and loved it. LOVED it.
Currently reading about three books
Physical Book: Deep End By Ali Hazelwood( I also have the audio because I received an advanced copy)
Audio Book:The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King By Carissa BroadBent( it’s on Kindle Unlimited and the 2nd in a duology)
Kindle: Rope the Moon by Ava Hunter: The Second in a Kindle Unlimited Series that Emily introduced me to.
E.Eating
I’m trying new things for our budget this year so I went to Coscto and stocked up on meat and some bulk food items for the month. this means I have to meal plan for a month in advance, but I feel like this is going to help us so much in the long run. I will still go to Kroger and Publix for weekly things like fruit and fresh veggies, eggs and dairy. We’ll give this new plan 6 months.
P. Playing
At being a parent to a teenage boy.
Some days, I swear im winging it. Because no one prepares you. He got his learners permit last week so he is cleared to legally practice driving my car. He has a new girlfriend. He has a social life. He’s working hard at school.
Issa lot. and in this era of parenting, most of my job is to give advice and set boundaries. And it’s hard.
O. Obsessed
I am obsessed with Pilates. When i took my intro class, I was like OMG that was hard! OMG I felt it OMG I have to sign up! Then my next few classes were …cute.
Then I signed up for a class with the instructor who lead the intro class and BAY-BAE! She worked me and now I’m addicted.
I’ve been…trying out new things in my workout journey and what my body likes and frankly, no matter how much I try, it doesn’t like it when I strictly lift heavy. I see all the recommendations that I should be lifting more than cardio. I know I need muscle and protein and yada yada yada.
But listen here. My body likes more cardio than strength training and that’s just the way it is. I won’t give up on strength training, it just won’t be my complete focus. Rather, and addition to my cardio. which is walking and running and riding my peloton. With some pilates thrown in because yes, again, I’m obsessed.
R. Recommending
This long handled duster I got. It’s a simple thing really. But when you are short and you need to dust the ceiling fans and you have high ceilings. This thing is clutch.
T: Treating
I spent what I think is way too much money on Cowboy Carter Tickets. I was looking at the seats and I had two choices: the cheap tickets or the ..not so cheap tickets. I said self: you loved the album. It brought you so much joy last year. YOU DESERVE those club seats. I think I’ll make a day of it. Take myself to dinner, maybe stay overnight in a hotel. I need cowboy boots…suggestions anyone?
