10 on 10: A Boy and His Smile

This month’s 10 on 10 Photography project is dedicated to my boy. Sometimes, I can get him to sit or stand still long enough to TRY to get a portrait of him, but I never quite manage to get something I want to hang up. The composition is always off, the background not quite right.

That happened last week when I took this series of photos. For once, he was willing. The light in the garage was perfect…

I took a few photos and was in the process of getting ready to change my position when….he started being him. And he was smiling, and laughing and being silly. Being my boy.

I kept snapping, but thought I wouldn’t do anything with these because they weren’t really blog/posting worthy.

Just practice I thought.

But then I uploaded them.

And that..smile…that joy….that laughter…..

They are perfectly imperfect.
