Watching: Reruns of Scandal. I mean really? My current level of frustration that I don’t have that show to watch on Thursday night is at an all time high. I feel like a crackhead, scratching and feening for my next hit on Thursday night…( 4 days and counting)
Listening To: Public Enemy. They got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week.
“As the rhythm designed to bounce
What counts is that the rhymes
Designed to fill your mind
Now that you’ve realized the prides arrived
We got to pump the stuff to make us tough
from the heart
It’s a start, a work of art
To revolutionize make a change nothin’s strange
People, people we are the same
No we’re not the same
Cause we don’t know the game
What we need is awareness, we can’t get careless
You say what is this?
My beloved lets get down to business
Mental self defensive fitness
(Yo) bum rush the show
You gotta go for what you know
Make everybody see, in order to fight the powers that be
Lemme hear you say…
Fight the Power”
Drake, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross…..SAT down and learn…..
And I’ve also learned that I really shouldn’t listen to Fight The Power while driving to work ( side eye to the police).
Planning: Kokoa Magazine’s spring shoot. I’m real excited to use my new camera on people other than Pookah and CDub! LOL
Thinking About: Preconceived notions about race and terrorism here in America. We saw it all week on news stations as we waited for the identification and then capture of the Boston Bombers. If you didn’t notice…….look again.
Looking Forward To: The end of allergy season. My Pookah bear has had enough. It’s been hard to try to comfort him and keep him from scratching his eyes out. It’s been hard working with daycare about not taking him outside and moving his pallet at nap time from the pollen filled carpet to another spot. It’s also been hard explaining everyday that no, he doesn’t have pink eye. We tried that, he still has red eyes. The allergist has said…this is allergies. Nothing more. So until the pollen count goes waaaay waaaay down, stop calling me. We are stressed out enough around here without you calling me and asking me to come pick him up because he has red eyes. Don’t.push.me.cause.I’m.close.to.the.edge……..
Reading: Nora Robert’s Whiskey Beach. I have loved Nora Roberts since I was in high school. I love a good romance novel. And sometimes, you just need to read something that has nothing to do with anything. Mindless entertainment.
Making Me Happy Little things:
- The fact that my Dad is getting his speech and strength back after a stoke and two seizures the Sunday before my birthday.
- The sound of rain washing away the pollen.
- The sound of Pookah going to the bathroom at 3am. By himself.
- Bacon.
- Reading an actual book instead of one on my iPad/Nook
- writing this post.
- Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter cups…..
That is all.
What’s currently happening in your life?

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, but glad he is doing better. I love old school and could easily listen to old school music and never listen to the stuff that's out now. I am anxiously waiting for the next new Scandal episode too. I can definitely relate to wanting to read "real" books. I love bacon and reeses too:-)

This post has me all relaxed and cozy now! lol Why does ABC continue to put Scandal on these random hiatuses? I'm glad to hear your dad is doing better. I'm currently looking forward to summer, and praying things slow down at work.

I am dying for some Scandal in my life too. And it's only like 4 episodes left this season.
Addy has bad allergies too. We dealt with the red eye last week. We both need our Claritin and Zyrtec to function. Ugh.
Yay for happy little things :)
