I tried……

You know, I don’t know what it is, but I’m discovering that i don’t really want to go natural anymore.

I find myself admiring relaxed hair again.  Now, don’t get me wrong, I love natural hair.  LOVE IT! But I don’t think right now I am cut out to go through the process of getting it where it needs to be to look good.  I don’t have the time to fool with my hair as much as I would need to to keep it HEALTHY and natural.  I work, I have a 1o month old and a husband and house to take care of.  I don’t have time to develop a routine!

I don’t know if my self esteem is lower or what, but I am not feeling my natural curls.  AT ALL.

It’s thick, it’s hard to manage and I am tired of trying.

And I REFUSE to look a hot mess this weekend when the baby gets dedicated!!

SMH.  Another big fat FAIL.

Le Sigh.

You didn’t fail, it takes a lot of time, hard work and dedication to deal with natural hair. You tried MyFriend. 🙂

Just because you’ve decided not to do it now, doesn’t mean you can’t in the future. And I think you can let yourself off the hook a little–you have a baby and a stressful job and a husband and a house and etc…

Sometimes it’s just about doing what’s manageable. And, um, photos of this weekend’s event, please?

It seems like hair is a lot of work no matter how you wear it! I so admire the natural heads of CurlyNikki and such but it sure seems like it involves a lot of work. It is all I can do to wear a bun everyday!

You’ve got to do what works for you. I’m cool with my short, boy cut. I tried to grow it out, but like others have said – it is work and it takes alot of time to develop a routine that works.
