It’s June friends! And that means it is time for a new book list!
Confession, I am still finishing up Warm Storm ( it was 672 pages!!!) so I’ll be starting on this list probably next week.
So without further ado, here is what’s on my book list for June

1. Down The River Unto the Sea by Walter Mosley
I love Walter Mosely. Love him. I’ve been reading his books since I read Devil in a Blue Dress in High School. Can’t wait to read this one.
2. The 5 Love Languages of Children By Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell
I think it was Bernetta who talked about this book YEARS ago. I ordered it on Amazon and forgot about it. I found it last week on my bookshelf in the guest bedroom and decided it was time to get to it. I think I know Pookah’s love language but I still want to read it.
3. Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
So I saw a preview for this movie when we went to see Han Solo and I had no idea it was based on a book. THEN I saw Nicole Blades reading it on Instagram and was like ohhhhhh….. It looks like the perfect beach read.
4. Well That Escalated Quickly Memoirs and Mistakes of an Accidental Diva by Franchesca Ramsey
WAAAAY back in the day, at my very first BlogHer, I sat in on a panel that had Luvvie, Issa Rae, Dr Goddess and Franchesca Ramsey. It was my introduction to her and I’ve followed her career since. I got to go to a book signing on Sunday for her new book. I read the intro and half of the first chapter that night. Can’t wait to finish.
5. Crushing It by Gary Vaynerchuk
So my friend Kita LOVES her some Gary Vaynerchuk. Normally, he is a bit much for me, but I have to admit he always has great advice despite or maybe because of the delivery. I saw her mention his book a few weeks ago and decided to go ahead and get it. I’m intrigued……..
SO that’s it. I’ve got a good mix this month and I can’t wait to dive into each one of them. Have you read any of these?

I'm tackling the Crazy Rich Asians series next month. I started the first book but didn't finish the end. I'm kind of excited that they made it into a movie and hope it does well so that they can make the other two into movies as well.
