Letters to My Sons: April
Dear Pookah:
You had your first baseball game last week.
As an obsessed MWAC, I had grand plans of taking all of these actions shots when you stepped up to bat. I wanted that emotion, the first hit, the look on your face. I wanted it all.
I got the back of you through a fence. LOL
When you did step up to the plate and you did get a hit, I was so excited that I almost DROPPED my camera. LOL
I was so proud of you!!!
And I saw the joy on your face as you ran to first base. I saw the joy on your Daddy’s face. And I knew it was reflected in mine.
While I was initially disappointed that I didn’t capture exactly what I wanted, I realized that I would always have that memory of your first hit.
I can’t wait to see the rest!
Love,
Mommy
Awww yay for him sorry you didn’t catch it I find myself being a bit upset when I don’t capture special moments but I know the memory of it will always be there.
it’ll never leave you.
I think I would have dropped my camera too!! Yay pookah! Love the new header 🙂
Awww… that Pookah is one lucky kid. Your love for him oozes in the best way!
Lol. I have done this so many times, or nearly drop my camera when my kids do something big! Who cares you missed the shots, you have the memory within! That’s the way I see it!
Awww… yay for Pookah getting his first hit. Sometimes, it’s better to enjoy being in the moment than focusing on capturing it. It makes hanging on to the memory that much more precious.
awww…this is totally cute!! i love that he’s playing baseball!
