Letters to Our Sons: March

Dear Pookah

It’s been an….intertesting month. In the beginning, you were sick.

And even though you skipped the so called terrible twos and threes, Year four is proving to be ….challenging.

We’ve been having a test of wills you might say, and I’ve been at times frustrated, amused, determined, upset, and full of love.

You’ve had the same feelings. LOL

But you still manage to have these wonderful happy moments in the mist of all the challenges. And in these moments, I am reminded that you are still my baby. My precious. My big baby boy.

We’ll get through this me and you. I can’t wait! LOL

  1. I always say kids have just enough cuteness to keep us from getting too mad at them and I can tell Pookah definitely does! The threenager stage has hit us hard, but my dad warned me about it a few years ago: he said until they’re 5 their personalities are pretty crappy then it gets MUCH easier. I’m holding out . . .

  2. We’ve been going through the same feelings with RJ since he hit two. Thankfully, there are more good days than cranky ones. I guess these are growing pains. It can be frustrating, but I’m enjoying watching his personality develop and grow.

  3. LOVE all of his awesome expressions, but that big gorgeous smile in the last shot takes the cake! Beautiful post LaShawn!

  4. I can see what Pookah is going to look like in his teens in that second photo. And yes that little personality gets SO much “stronger” at 4
