I often get questions on how I balance being a full-time working mom, a wife and a blogger on this site. Well folks…it’s not easy. My day is a constant juggle between all of the aspects of my life. Yesterday, Pookah came home sick from school and I KNEW he wouldn’t be going to school today. So began the juggle.
While working from home is indeed a blessing, I can’t just STOP working each and every time Pookah gets sick. The show must go on. My day becomes a constant juggle between taking a meeting, playing a quick game of Uno with a sick BORED child, making phone calls, alternating Tylenol and Motrin, doing the endless paperwork that comes with my job, writing posts, cuddling, fixing soup and fish sticks…you can see the pattern here.
And of course, since I was caught unaware, I had to make a Target run on my lunch break to replenish my supply of Motrin and Tylenol.
Through all of this, if I don’t watch it, I will exist of endless cups of coffee all day, and never take or find the time to fix myself something to eat. On a day like this, I would be prone to eating junk all day…or nothing at all. I decided to pick up a few of the new LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE line options. There are so many options made with organic ingredients as well as gluten-free options and protein packed options. Target has a great deal for $2 each ( there is a limited coupon too starting 1/3/15 right here in case you want a few) I made sure I got something to keep me going AND feed my husband later on since I knew this was going to be a marathon type of day.
And I was right. Pookah had me going ALL DAY. Between work and him , I barely had time to think, let alone make a meal. But the LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Sweet & Spicy Korean-Style Beef that I picked up at Target was PERFECT and gave me a much-needed boost around 3 pm.
I also picked up a few options for CDub because the choices are just endless……
At the end of the day, I was exhausted!! But grateful for the option to work AND be at home with Pookah AND eat a great tasting meal at the same time.

Have you tried the LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE meals? Which one is YOUR favorite?
I love Lean Cuisine products. They’re so convenient and delicious. And I can feel good about the fact that they’re very nutritious too!
Lean Cuisines used to save me when I worked in an office. I would bring them pretty much every day!
I love that the Cheese and Bean Enchiladas are non gmo! I sent hubby over to Target last week for these when I was sick and didn’t want to cook. He really liked them!
I love Lean Cuisine meals. They are quick and easy and I feel like I’m eating healthy even when I don’t have time to cook a meal.
Oh yes!! I can totally relate! I *love* working from home because it means when the kids are sick I can be with them *and* not miss out on an entire day of work, but it also means that I still have that entire day of work to get done, which can be tough! Thank goodness for coffee and Lean Cuisine coming to the rescue for both of us! I’ve been having them a ton for lunches lately when I have busy, crazy days! (that are more often than not as a work from home mom!)
I’ve not tried Lean Cuisine before though I have heard of the brand. I mormally avoid ready meals but these look great.
Working from home has it’s perks and draw backs, I do love being at home when the kids are sick though. What a great deal on Lean Cusines, love shopping at Target!
These varieties look sooo yummy. I love lean cuisine because I can take them to work with me and not be tempted to eat fast food. They fill me up and I still feel like Ive still had a proper meal
Lean Cuisine was my go to when I worked full time while earning my Masters. Haven’t had it in awhile BUT… These look yummy and I’m here for all the protein and the time savings. To Target I go. As if I needed another reason. LOL. Hope your baby is on the mend.
this looks so yummy!!! I am a fan of lean cuisines for sure. My favorite is the ravioli!
These meals actually look and sound really good (maybe it’s that beautiful packaging). And seriously, people think working from home is easy…but I think it can be harder learning to “turn off”.
I’m not a huge fan of frozen foods however, I can’t believe how many flavour options there are! Lean Cuisine is definitely one of the best!
Lean Cusine is sooo good!! And I love how easy to pepare it is!
Lean Cusine is sooo good!! And I love how easy it is to prepare!
I’ve never tried Lean Cuisine products – have to check if they have vegetarian items. But, Target is my most favorite store. I always find what I need there.
I am a big fan of Lean Cuisine and have been for a long time. It makes eating for one something better!
I haven’t tried any of these meals for a long time but they look really good. I am going to have to check them out next time I am buying groceries.
I love my lean cuisines but have never heard of their marketplace line. I am dying to try the enchilada kind- it looks amazing.
These look like awesome meals! I haven’t tried Lean Cuisine in a few years, but if they look this amazing, I need to taste it!
I need to grab a few of these. I am the worst at eating, simply because I’m lazy and I don’t like to cook unless it is dinner. These will work, going to stick up on these.
i never heard about this brand but these products seems to be really great.
I love the new Lean Cuisine marketplace items! I promise I am gonna check out the Korean BBQ flavor look delish!
