A Photographer’s VERY early Christmas wish list.

Sooo, I was in Hobby Lobby this weekend( no i’m not crafty but I needed a prop that can only be found there so…) ANYHOO, there were Christmas crafts/decorations.

Shut.The.Front.Door.

It’s JULY.

BUT, that got me thinking: There are 23 weeks left until Christmas. TWENTY THREE.

I have a lot of things I want, and waiting 23 weeks doesn’t seem fair. It got me wishing for Christmas in July! So I’ve got a very early Photographers Christmas wish list

CHRISTMAS-WISH-LIST

Like a kid, I’ve made a list, I’ve checked it twice……..

1.Sony DSC-RX100M IV Cyber-shot Camera

I saw this camera on Karen from Chookooloonks’ Blog a while ago, and I’ve been intrigued ever since. It’s small,,you can shoot manually and the picture quality is excellent. It  might be perfect for my Disney Vacation needs later this year.

2.Lifeproof iPhone 6 Plus Case

When I upgraded to my iPhone 6, I lost the ability to use this wonderful wonderful case. But we are going to the beach soon and having a water proof case for my iPhone on the beach is a must for me. Cause…pictures in the water anyone???

3.Tamron SP 24-70mm Di VC Lens

I have the original 28-75 version of this lens. It’s waaaaay past time to upgrade. In fact, I am renting this lens for BlogHer this weekend. Sort of a try before you buy type thing.  I started off as a lover of zoom lenses, but then, as most photographers do, I got caught up in the prime vs zoom debate. BUT I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I just need convenience, and changing lenses all the time does not do it for me. Now, I love my Canon 35 mm and will never part with it. But I think me and the 24-70 are about to become best friends. LOL

4. The Bowery Camera Bag From ONA

I.Want.This.Bag. The end. It’s small, it’s cute and it’s real genuine leather. Most of time if I’m out with my camera, I just have my camera, one lens and my wallet. So this is perfect for my needs. I repeat: I WANT THIS BAG.

5. Olloclip 4-in-1 Photo Lens

Once again, upgrading has its downfall. Before I got my iPhone 6, I used my olloclip religiously. But OF COURSE they had to make a new one for the thinner bigger iPhone 6. I haven’t made the time to upgrade yet. But I need to, the creativity that occurs with this lens is unmatched. I miss it.

So there it is. My very small Photographers Christmas wish list… because I’m pretending it’s Christmas in July.

I’m going to forward this list to my husband.

Wishful thinking….right?

  1. I need that bag too. I have that tenba bag but it’s separate from the rest of my stuff so when I go out I have to carry two bags. Ommm I am going over to put that Tamron on my wish list on Amazon

  2. I’ve been wishing for that same ONA bag for about a year and a half now! I love it! Also, same thing with the 24-70mm lens. I also love my 35 but could do so much with the zoom (gotta love that convenience factor!). I think I’ll gently bring this up to the husband as options for my birthday/Christmas list. 😉

  3. Hi! I found you post very interesting! Plus, we are like minded because I just got my LifeProof iPhone Case (in a beautiful purple!)! The case you have listed is pretty awesome! It is really water proof (you can immerse your phone in water and sand if you wanted). Most importantly it is thin and sleek! You will love it! I use it everyday! Next I am eying the ollio clip! Can you review it of you purchase? Thank you for the post! It was an interesting one!

  4. Nice bag. The life proof case sometimes ends up bluring out the image over the lens. Then you end up having to take the case off for pics. Also sometimes it doesn’t work properly under the water. The olloclip is pretty cool and I believe they have a couple of different ones. I would love the rx 100 III camera…but that is pretty pricey.

  5. The bowery bag in leather isn’t that great in person…I got it in the greyish blue color (very functional and the color is nice…I carry my mirrorless in it) and I tried one in the leather, and it gets sooo scratchy and looks old fast, and the color is a bit orangey rather than a lovely nutmeg brown, so I’d recommend another color/material 😉

The 135 lens is on my list this year, I can’t wait!
