Random Thoughts on Monday Morning.

It’s Monday!

Thanks for the kind words about my Dad. He has an appointment with a neurologist today. Hopefully, they can give us some insight into what’s going on.

I’m not too happy today since I technically only had one day off because I worked at the old spot on Saturday.

It went just as expected.

Only I can attract the emergencies that folks don’t normally see. Let’s just say, the girl’s uterus tried to come out with her 9 pound baby. Not cool man. Especially around change of shift.  Especially when your girl is a little slow cause she hasn’t done this in a minute.

Anyhoo.

Pookah and the potty training. Not going so well. But we soldier on.

I’m still contemplating putting him back in pullups, but for now, I just do a lot of loads of clothes. And do a lot of reassuring. The accidents are starting to happen only when it’s time for him to wake up.  But I did notice that yesterday when he had an accident during nap time, he started to go in the bed, but stopped himself. So his clothes were wet, but not the bed.  He told me he was wet and then said he had to go the bathroom. Where he finished. Makes me say hmmmm……

I’ve been watching the Bible series on the history channel. Interesting.

Beyonce. Bow Down Bitches huh? Well. Do you Bey. I’m not going to say she shouldn’t have done it or that I even like the song ( great beat, but what’s up with the deep voice? Reminds me of Lady Gaga and her alter ego…) But what I will say is…she’s got everybody talking about her and the song doesn’t she? Smart girl.

I’m taking two photography classes right now and I’m BEHIND. Why do I do these things to myself? Because I’m obsessed and always want more knowledge that’s why. Never can have enough…..

The Shred Diet: I lost 4 pounds in the first week! WITHOUT exercising. So I’m kind of excited to see the results this week once I add in exercise. I’m going to the gym two or three days this week. And I’m going to walk on my breaks at work. 20 pounds. So 4 down 16 to go!  One complaint: it’s expensive. I understand that eating healthy is expensive, but dang Dr Ian!

Easter is next week, bringing the end of Lent and my Starbucks back. I’m feening like a crackhead. Even after all this time. I.can’t.wait.

Anyway, that’s all that’s up with me right now. How about you?

I'm happy to hear that Pookah is making progress! It may seem like a while before things get back to how they used to, but they'll get there soon enough. Would an incentive help him with potty training? Maybe a trip to somewhere fun? I don't know. I never used incentives until I wanted my oldest to stop sucking her thumb. It was around the time that she was going to turn 3. I told her that we would go to Disney World if she stopped. With repeat reminders and encouragement and the promise of the trip, she stopped. It was amazing. So, yeah, maybe try that, too. And keep up the great work!

Your dad is in my prayers. Pookah is probably just going through a phase. I'm sure it will all be fine in a few weeks. I wish kids weren't do damn unpredictable!

I hope the doctor is able to shed some light on your dad's condition. Your family is in my prayers. Pookah being a aware and stopping himself is a good sign. 4lbs in the first week is awesome! I'm not doing Dr. Ian, but I've loss 3lbs and an inch off the mid section! This weekend was not the best, food wise, for me. So, it's back at today.
