Stream of Consciousness Sunday: On Bloggy Boos in Jamaica….

Sunset in Negril, Jamaica

What happens when you get a bunch of bloggers together at a conference and the sun is setting?

You get everyone taking photos, laughter and small lessons on how to take the best selfie.

One of the best things about Social Media on the Sand was not just the fact that I was in Jamaica…with my husband…without my child…

It was that I got share it with a few wonderful women that I have had the privilege to call friends. It still amazes me after all this time that I can know these women online and it’s like we are in each other’s lives. Like we KNOW each other.

Because we do.

I think a lot of us go to these conferences now, not just because we want to learn or network, but because we want to meet up and hug on each other’s necks and spill tea and take selfies to post on Instagram.

No matter how hard it is sometimes to keep up with all this blogging biz, I am always grateful that blogging let me meet such wonderful women and men. It’s opened me up to new people, experiences, ideas that I honestly don’t know if I would have if not for the blogging world.

STOP

This was my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…

  • Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
  • Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. This is writing in the raw.
  • Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.

I'm just seeing this! So much truth here. I love the idea of 5 minutes of just writing. Other things I learned from this post? I have my mother's body. The whole thing. Physically I think I am my mother. Lol! Great photos! So glad we got to hang out :)

YES omg I totally agree!! When I look back at how long we have known each other and MUCH we know about each other and how easily we fall back in step when we see each other? Incredible. The fact is that I've known most of y'all for over 5 years!
