The Book Report: Archangel’s Eternity By Nalini Singh

So I have been obsessed with this series for what feels like a thousand years. I discovered it when it was around 8 books i think and over the years, I just kept waiting for a new one to hit the bookshelves. For the last 10 years. And while I appreciate an author knowing when it’s time to let go of a long running series, that doesn’t mean that I’m not sad to see some of my favorite characters go. Every time I picked up a book from the series over the years, it was like a warm hug full of adventure and love.
Synopsis of Archangel’s Eternity by Nalini Singh
It’s been a millennium since Elena’s fateful first meeting with Archangel Raphael. She has survived war and loss, experienced beauty and cruelty. But no matter what, she has always held on to her mortal heart, as she and Raphael have held on to each other. Passionate and vibrant, they’ve built a life that has stood the test of time, growing ever stronger with each turn of the sun.
But change is coming—of a magnitude they could have never imagined—and it will forever alter the trajectory of their existence.
Even as they grapple with the cataclysmic shift in their personal lives, the Cadre of Ten, which has maintained a hard-won peace for centuries, begins to simmer with dangerous fault lines. The specter of madness looms in one archangel, the promise of war burns between two others, and in darkness far from mortal and immortal eyes stirs an ancient, slumbering power.
Suddenly, the future is terrifyingly uncertain . . . at the very moment that Elena and her archangel need to protect a treasure infinitely more precious than eternity.

What I Really Thought
How do you review the last book in one of your favorite series? Seriously HOW without being in a puddle of tears?
Angel’s Blood was one of the first “Romantasy” books that I read WAAAAY back before they had a name. All I knew is that there were angels and vampires and I was obsessed.
I have been obsessed with Elana and Raphael and their Cadre of friends for 18 books and I was so sad to know that this was the last adventure they would go on, but it felt like it was time.
This was a fantastic ending to the series as it wrapped up all of those plot points that we have followed along with and gave us a glimpse into everyone’s lives that we have followed over the last 18 books.
This was plot light, more of a wrapping up. There were many…semi plots you might call them, but they were all concluding stories and character arcs from the last 18 books. There is one big plot point that I won’t spoil, but that one gave me, a long time reader a lot of joy.
All in all, I enjoyed every page of this book, and I admit to drawing it out so that I wouldn’t have to say goodbye to these beautiful characters that I love so much.
It was a beautiful ending for a beautiful series.
