Updates

So I went in my Manager’s office to quit.

And came out agreeing to work PRN. Which means, showing up there 2 days a month for 2 twelve hour shifts.

I have no clue how it happened.

But of course, by the end of the day, she claimed she didn’t know if she even had the position.

I discovered that I didn’t care.

My plan was to keep the PRN job and let all of that money go towards my photography( camera, lens, classes) Blogging( conferences) and vacation( beach???).

Now, we’ll see.

I looked through my closet the other day and discovered that after 13 years of working in Labor and Delivery and wearing pajamas to work, I have no business casual clothes. I have jeans, scrubs, and church clothes. Hardly anything in between. Shame. I need to go shopping.

Oh, and speaking of work, I got to meet @keyalus very briefly when she took a tour to see my L&D!   Highlight of my day, I swear! It was kind of funny to hear “Roses Daughter” in real life though. LOL

CDub and I are going on a DATE this weekend! Pookah’s school is having a “parent’s night out” day tomorrow afternoon. From 4-9 for $5, they are entertaining the kids.

Praise baby Jesus!

But speaking of Pookah, the pollen count is up. And his nose is stuffed up. Poor baby. The new house is surrounded by trees, and he just loves to play out in the yard…..

With rocks….

Hopefully he will be better after all that rain yesterday.  I don’t want a repeat of last year, and he doesn’t go the the allergist until next Friday.

Well that’s all.

This post was really random huh?

Oh well!

Have a great weekend folks!

  1. Well at least it will be extra money. Go shopping and buy something for yourself I am going to buy me at least one outfit a month so I can start getting some clothes in my closet its time to replace my comfortable sweats….slowly

  2. Wow. Your son’s school has an amazing parent’s night out deal. Enjoy your date.
Maybe it wasn’t the right time to quit. The extra money sounds like it will come in handy.

  3. The extra cash will be great. Love Kita’s idea of one outfit a month.
I organize pj parties/parents’ night out at RJ’s school. We have one coming up at the end of the month. I love them, they’re cheap and we already know and trust the teachers.
Scandal. I woke up thinking about that episode.

  4. It was great to spot you for a moment! I wasn’t really expecting to see you at all because I thought you were quitting LOL.

And its funny but if I meet a blogger *after* knowing them as a blogger then I always want to call them by their blog name. I bump into @tazzee often and still have the hardest time calling her by her real name. 🙂

I completely understand the clothing thing. I’ve been working in a jeans casual office environments for almost 10 years now. I have 1000 pairs of jeans but 3 pairs of nice pants.

  5. Agree with everyone else…hit up TJ Maxx, Marshalls, it’s all kind of season ending sales going on, you should be able to pick up a few pieces right now. I’m happy for you because when you don’t care and are at the end, it’s over.

  6. well i hope it all works out with the job. I know if i had to find a new job tomorrow I wouldn’t know what to wear. I can wear anything i want here and i love that about this place. Thats why its so hard for me to leave lol.

I hope my son n law makes it through the allergy season without too many complications.

  7. I saw Scandal and I officially quit Fitz. I can’t with his simple self. Ehh

The daycare implemented such a genius idea. That is fabulous. Hopefully everyone will arrive back on time and not mess it up for the next “Parent’s Night Out”. I really think that’s a cool idea.

Please don’t say pollen already. I am coming to Atlanta for spring break and I know that’s going to be an allergy nightmare….. so I must take some extra Benedryl.

Congrats again on the new job. Shopping is going to be a lot of fun.

  8. I am ALL about extra cash! LOL Replacing your wardrobe will be easy once you find the key pieces, me for example can’t live without my basic black and grey slacks, a basic black blazer and a white button down. Anything after that is like a cherry on top. You should go to loft.com for some good stuff and they are always having sales! So awesome that you got to meet keyalus 🙂 Yes, Scandal still has me tripping.

  9. Shopping with a purpose is never as fun as random shopping..then again it is shopping. I hope you get to keep the PRN gig, extra money is always good but then again under those conditions. It will all work out like it should.

  10. so, i’m mad they only charge FIVE dollars!!! Jealous. It costs us 50 for the same thing at our son’s day care. Now that we have two kids, it’s 70. They do their “babysitting parties” a few times a year.

I guess that’s the price we pay for living in L.A. LOL’ing but not really. :-/

  11. I find the overlapping of the leaves very effective in creating the compositions here. The colors are pretty spectacular, too. Your willingness to fiddle with the lens settings is quite impressive.
