5 Things I Read This Week..
Every week, I see great things around the web that I just think EVERYONE should read. So once again, I’m sharing.
- There is a Russian Mother who takes the most AWESOME photos. I mean, breathtaking. I keep going back to this post to analyze everything about them, and then to just enjoy the art that is these photos.
- The Washington Post had a great article called “Should staying home with a sick kid cause a working mom so much anxiety?” It really hit home for me because everytime Pookah is sick, I worry about my job. It’s not as bad as it used to be thank goodness, but still..
- Danielle over at the Style and Beauty Blog had a great post about How to Start a Beauty Blog that I think applies to starting and maintaining ANY blog. I get asked a lot, How do I start a blog. Check out this post to the details. And then if you still want to start one, we’ll talk.
- Blogalicious 14 is in San Antonio, Texas! I’ve never been to San Antonio……..
- And this story to me shows the power of photography. The emotion it can capture. The ability to capture THAT moment. It’s what we all chase.
So that’s it for this week. See you guys next week.
Oh, and I can’t leave without a photo….
Have a great weekend. And take some pictures!
thanks for reading! and linking to the post \!! 🙂
I am helping some kids set up their blog and I feel for them cause I am tired of blogging and that’s bad lol. I am counting down Saywhat now. Going to check out the links
That woman’s photographs are everything! My faves are the ones with the massive dog and small child. Something about the size difference, but sweetness of the moments are just beautiful.
The photo shoot with John Scheider brought tears to my eyes. I’m intrigued by his request to capture that on camera. I don’t think I’d do well if I had a tangible reminder of those feelings and emotions.
my SIL mustache is coming in nice . . . please tell him to stop growing up!
LOL! That was the first thing I noticed with that picture!lol
I read all the links you posted and those were some awesome reads! Seriously?! The pictures from that Russian mother–breath taking! I also love the post about you are your brand. It’s the second type of post that I read, which mentioned that. That gave me a lot to think about for sure.
Last–that picture of Pookah. Look a that mustache shadow! He looks so cute! Hope you have a great weekend 🙂
Thank you for sharing the link for Russian Mother. Those pictures are just so amazing.
i like this..off to check out some of these awesome reads…and Pookah..so cute!
oh wow..the pictures of the Russian mother are soooooooooooooooo surreal!
I saw the story about the Russian mom. All I could say was WOW! It’s amazing what you can capture with a camera.
I would be so completely lost with a beauty blog! Lol. What do I know? Ha!
Wow, the Russian mother’s photos are amazing! I will pass along this starting a beauty blog post. Ihave 2 ppl interested and asking me to do a post. No use in reinventing the wheel!
Aren’t they just BEAUTIFUL?? Yes, I got so many questions about starting a blog that when I saw that post, I knew I had to share.
OMG! Number 2 just hit home for me! Every time Mini Me is sick, I am the parent that has to stay home, and I worry about work. My company is pretty flexible when it comes to these things, but I never want to look like I’m taking advantage of the flexibility. I have now enlisted my parents to be on standby in the event that I really need to go to work and Mini Me is sick.
San Antonio huh? There’s this Mexican restaurant in San Antonio that I am obsessed with…just saying…..
YES! That was the main source of stress at the last job. EVERY call out no matter what was held against you. You only got 3 call outs a YEAR. Even coming in late was a call out! I love that my new job is so flexible in letting me come in late and she never says much if I have to call out for Pookah. But still, I hate to do it.
