15 of the Best Hallmark Christmas Movies of All Time and the 2023 Lineup!

Nothing says the holidays like Hallmark Movies! If you want Christmas cheer everyday until Christmas, check out this my list of the Best Hallmark Christmas Movies of all time and the 2023 Lineup!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

GUUUYSSS!!! The Hallmark Countdown to Christmas starts this weekend!

Listen. Over the years, I’ve watched way too many Hallmark Christmas movies than I care to remember. Yes, they are cliched, yes, big city girl usually goes to small town and meets a hunk that makes her leave everything behind and you don’t get a kiss until the end of the movie.

BUT!!

They are so good! And addictive, and Christmas-y that you really don’t mind.

And if there anything that the past few years have taught us, it’s to take the joy where we find it.

Because there is literally nothing better this time a year, than a Saturday spent vegging out on the couch watching Hallmark Christmas Movies on repeat.

Hallmark Christmas Movies Countdown Schedule and Start Date

When do hallmark christmas movies start 2023?

Countdown to Christmas Starts Friday October 20th Movies will premiere on Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m. ET. Thanksgiving weekend also brings extra helpings with double features on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Is there more diversity for Hallmark Christmas movies for 2023?

There was a time when Hallmark Christmas movies were to put it plainly: white and heterosexual set in middle class lives. But in the past few years, we have been seeing more and more diversity with more brown faces and LGBTQ stories being told. We’ve even got a few Hanukkah and Kwanzaa stories.

My 15 Favorite Hallmark Christmas Movies of all time.

best hallmark christmas movies
  1. The Gingerbread Romance

Tia Mowry-Hardrict plays architect Taylor Scott. Romance ensues when she enlists the help of the local baker ( single Dad of Course) for a life-sized gingerbread house-building contest Christmas love is in the air of course

2. A December Bride

Listen. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. I Literally comb the schedule and plan a Saturday around it. Even though I have a few issues with a part of the plot! Layla agrees to attend her ex-fiancé’s wedding with Seth he “accidentally” tells the other wedding guests that they’re engaged. Love follows…

3. The Mistletoe Promise

Based on the best seller by Richard Paul Evans, two strangers who hate Christmas make a pact to attend their holiday events together. Of course, Christmas works it’s magic.

4. A Royal Christmas

Picture it: you are getting ready to spend the holidays with your boyfriend and he’s the heir to Cordinia. I mean, balls gowns, ex girlfriends, royalty and Christmas. What more do you need?

5.Christmas at Pemberley Manor

Pride and Prejudice with a holiday twist. Mr Darcy hires an event planner to throw one last bash at his family estate before he sells it. Love and holiday cheer follow.

6. Christmas Land

Follow a woman who plans to sell her Christmas tree farm only to fall in love with the town and of course, the man…

7. Christmas Cookies

Kind of the You’ve Got Mail of Christmas movies: a the agent who plants to shut down the cookie factory, falls in love with the factory’s owner.

8.The Christmas Cottage

A magical cottage that makes it’s guests fall in love if they stay overnight…of course you want to watch

9. The Christmas in Evergreen Movies

Ok there are actually Three movies with the fourth airing this year. Each movie takes place in Evergreen and highlights a new romance. Stars Jill Wagner, Mark Deklin, Paul Greene, Holly Robinson Peete, Barbara Niven, and Ashley Williams. I love the continuity. It’s like visiting an old friend every year.

10.The Christmas Card

This is one of the first Hallmark Christmas movies. But it’s one of my favorites. Cody receives an anonymous Christmas card while serving overseas, comes home and tracks down the sender.

11.Christmas at Dollywood

Two words why you should watch it: Dolly Parton. No seriously! The main character finalizes the details for the theme park’s 30th Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration and love follows

12. Memories of Christmas

Noelle returns to her small Michigan town to pack up and sell her inherited childhood home and attend the annual Christmas Charity Gala established by her Christmas-obsessed mother. Romance romance and if I’m honest, a black couple.

13. Let it Snow

I can’t have a Hallmark Christmas Movie list and not have a movie with Candace Cameron Bure. Her character Stephanie is a scrooge who hates winter and everything that comes from it. But her father sends her to his ski -lodge for business and of course, she sees the error of her ways.

14.Christmas at the Plaza

Jessica takes a job at The Plaza in New York City. Of course she has to work with..and fall in love with the hotel’s longtime decorator.

15. Debbie Macomber’s Mrs Miracle

Widower Seth hires Mrs. Miracle to care for his crazy twin boys. But OF COURSE Mrs. Miracle has other plans for Seth, including a brand new Christmas romance.

Ok, I’m off to see which one of my favorites is coming on next!
