Watching

Reruns of Fixer Upper on HGTV. There is a possibility that we will be remodeling our kitchen soon and I’m OBSESSED! I was already obsessed with this show to begin with, but NOW?!?!  Quartz or Marble? Subway tile backsplash? Have you seen those Samsung Refrigerators? Farmhouse sinks….I could go on and on and on….and if we can do it, you guys will hear about it ALL THE TIME.  You have been warned.

Reading

You know how you’ve read every article someone has written? And you wonder, what if he wrote a book? I’ve been waiting on it. I finally downloaded my copy and I’m going to start it this weekend.

Listening

Jilly From Philly has a new album out! Woman! DOWNLOAD IT. Get your grown woman on. #thatisall

Making

Overnight Oats. Have you made any? I made one recipe I found on Pinterest that taste like banana bread in a mason jar. I made a few  tweaks and YEEESSSSSSS! Look for that recipe coming up soon. Cause..easy, delicious, healthy.  My version is gluten-free and vegan, what more can you ask for?

Feeling

Tired. Tired because I’ve been so busy this month and this weekend is like our last good weekend before school starts. Tired because there is so much to do and so little time to do it. Tired because my mind plans one thing and my body plans another. I’m slowly realizing that just like Oprah says:

“You can have it all. Just not all at once.”

Currently My Intent.org

At Blogher, there was a company called My Intent. They make these simple bracelets with your one word. My word at the beginning of the year was FOCUS. And while I keep that in mind( because let’s face it, I need all the focus I can get) the one word I chose to have on my bracelet was Grace. Grace because I CAN’T have it all at once. But I have to remind myself to give myself grace. Grace because not everything will get done. Grace because that blog post may not get written. Grace because some days I just want to step away and read a book while the dishes pile up. Grace to realize that my child won’t turn into a chicken nugget because I didn’t cook dinner. Things happen, but I have to remind myself that I am still working towards my goals.  I may not be the fastest out the block and I may make a few deviations, but I’m working on it.  And that’s the best I’ve got for now, at this stage in my life and I’m ok with that.

Planning

Disney. I’ve reserved about 3 character meals and plotting where and what we can eat. Disney, is a gluten-free paradise. I mean, there are gluten-free menus EVERYWHERE. Blogs like the Disney Food Blog and Allergy Free Mouse are GOLDMINES of information and reviews. Now that the food portion is pretty much planned, it’s time to plot what we are going to do for 4 days besides visit the mouse.

Loving

The fact that we are getting AWAY this weekend! We are headed out to Jekyll Island this weekend so MAKE sure you are following me on Instagram so that you can follow along with our beach adventure. We didn’t get to go anywhere BIG this summer since we are planning for Disney in November. But we HAD to get to the beach.  So follow along!!! @lashawnwiltz

So that’s all I’m currently up to right now. What about you? What are you currently up to?

  1. Oh this is LOVELY! Love your one word (during the start of the year) FOCUS. And because you can’t have it all you put Grace up too. Man, you’re BRILLIANT!!! For me, just currently working on sewing (for myself and two daughters). We are the Sunshine Girls LOL.

  2. I LOVE overnight oatmeal and it’s a regular rotation. I usually put mango in mine. If you are headed to Orlando and looking for something fun to do outside of Disney, check out Sak Comedy club. (Wayne Frances and many other great comedians got their start there.) If you get one of the earlier shows, they have always been very family friendly too! Your kids would enjoy the Orlando Science Museum. You might also enjoy shopping at the Artegan Village (it’s near outlet shops too) and it features local artisans and tons of homemade goodies!

  3. I also love seeing what you’re currently into. Great idea. My hubbs is super into HGTV too. I haven’t tried the overnight oats yet, but I’ll be looking forward to your recipe. 😉

  4. Terrific blog post. I especially like the post about being tired and keeping your focus. The My Intent bracelets with the focus writing definitely can remind you to keep focus on your goals. This is what we tried to do with our little wristband brand, just a little reminder to our focus on Jesus and representing him in your daily life. ? God Bless
