I love a good cup of strong coffee. To be more specific, my taste buds love a good dark roast coffee. I love shots of espresso also for the same reason. But since I don’t always have time to use my espresso machine, I have been on a constant hunt for great coffee for my Keurig. Specifically, coffee that is both highly caffeinated and tastes good.

So when a friend of mine started constantly talking about Death Wish Coffee…of course, I had to investigate.

5 Questions You Probably Have About Death Wish Coffee

So What is Death Wish Coffee?

“The World’s Strongest Coffee” is made by Death Wish Coffee Company. The brand started off as a coffee shop in Saratoga Springs New York and later grew into the company it is now.

The Death Wish Coffee blend is made up of only two types of beans: Arabica and Robusta. The two beans together create a unique, bold flavor and a great caffeine kick. Death Wish Coffee is also USDA Organic and Fair Trade Certified.

What is the Caffeine level in Death Wish Coffee?

So how much caffeine is there really in Death Wish Coffee? According to Consumer Reports: due to the combination of beans and a special roasting process, an 8oz cup of Death Wish has 472 mg of caffeine. That’s 2-4 8oz cups of coffee for most people.

That means one cup of Death Wish Coffee is equivalent to 3-5 cups of coffee you would normally make.

Is Death Wish Coffee Safe?

According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, it’s safe to drink three to five cups of coffee a day with a maximum intake of 400 milligrams of caffeine.  The good news is that drinking coffee has been linked to a reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, gallstones, depression, suicide, cirrhosis, liver cancer, melanoma and prostate cancer.

But coffee drinkers should be aware of the effects of TOO MUCH caffeine. It can vary from person to person. Keep in mind that consuming more caffeine than what you normally consume can lead to you feeling irritable, or jittery, and may cause excessive urine production or irregular heartbeat in some.

What’s the Best Way to Make Death Wish Coffee?

There are a variety of options when you purchase. There are single serve K Cups, ground coffee, and whole bean coffee. All of these can be found in Medium, Dark or Espresso roast with some flavored blends.

Where can you find Death Wish Coffee?

Death Wish Coffee can be purchased right on the Death Wish Coffee Website or at your local grocery store. You can find it everywhere but if you are an Amazon lover, head there, but you can add it to your Target order or pick it up from Walmart.

My Death Wish Coffee Review

I was nervous, I admit. I’ve had some REALLY bad coffee in my Keurig. So when my individual coffee pods of the Dark Roast Death Wish Coffee Brew arrived, I was optimistic, but not really.

I was not expecting such a smooth flavor from a dark roast. My first cup became my second. Just to make sure that my taste testing was accurate.

Death Wish Coffee is great coffee. Especially if you are looking for a darker roast for your Keurig. If I’m honest, its some of the best coffee I’ve had that wasn’t made in my espresso machine.

I’m a 2-3 cup a day person normally, but ONE cup of Death Wish in the morning keeps me going all day.

So if you are looking for a good strong cup of coffee, Death Wish is a great fit for you.

I’m the type of person who drinks coffee all day long. If I go to Starbucks I have a large iced coffee, that’s basically espresso and I get 8 shots of espresso. Now I can drink two of these and I’m good, I’m disappointed in deathwish coffee. My cup of coffee differs from the typical cup of coffee, I drink half a pot of coffee of deathwish coffee and I’m still tired. I’m disappointed with this coffee

I bought some yesterday on a whim. Brewed a cup this morning. It's good. It's not the floral. Waiting for the jolt to take me into overdrive.
