Can you believe that half of the year is OVER? What on earth friends? So just like that, it’s time for my first reading list of the summer.

I almost finished with my list from last month. I am in the middle of Pat Flynn’s book and have 1 chapter left in the Nora Roberts book The Hideaway.
I read many more books than what was on my initial list because…well…Amazon’s prime reading gets me every time with the free random books I find. And I get off track.
Plus i found that some books are just too heavy for my current state of mind. And books are supposed to help us escape into another world right?
This month’s list includes a book from one of my favorite authors, the second in a series I read last year, A book that is on Oprah’s magazine and every other must read book list, the next book in a fun series i discovered last month, and a romance recommended on twitter.
They are all lighthearted except the one on everyone’s list.
Because friends, I can’t do heavy right now.
Also note: most of these books are released THIS MONTH.
June Reading List
The Idea of You: A Novel
The Twitter recommendation! I love a juice romance more than anything else and this one looks like the perfect may December romance that I need to read right now!
Recipe for Persuasion: A Novel
From the author of one of my favorite books from last year: Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors, this book is a romantic comedy that follows in the Jane Austen tradition—this time, with a twist on Persuasion.
The Vanishing Half: A Novel
This is the book that's on everyone's must-read list for Summer 2020. It's the story of twins: one of them stays in the southern town they grew up with, living with her black daughter. The other moves to California and passes for white.
Take a Hint, Dani Brown: A Novel (The Brown Sisters Book 2)
I read the first Brown Sister's novel by chance as a Kindle Unlimited novel. I can't wait to see what the next sister is up to.
Party of Two
I love Jasmine Guillory novels! They are fun, the characters are believable and it's al quick read. And finally, the next installment comes at the end of June.
Pre-order them like me, we can read them together.
As always, follow my reviews of these books over on Goodreads. Same name.
What are you reading this month?
