Happy New Year!!
As we start off the New Year, I’ve teamed up again with KoKoa Magazine for our #mylifesphotos Challenge! Each Sunday, a new challenge will go up! We look forward to seeing your interpretations on all forms of social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, your blog, Pinterest! Just tag us with #mylifesphotos to join in! Also, you can get inspiration for the challenges by going over to our Pinterest Board. Also, our Pinterest Board is a group board, so if you send your Pinterest user name we can add you so you can add your Pins to the board!
And now, for the first challenge of the year:
It’s easy to just take photos head on. But in this near year, try mixing up your perspective. Try shooting from above.
In this photo, I was standing in a chair to get my son opening up his gift. With children, this empasizes the smallness of them and is a parent’s perspective.
It can also be used creatively when you want to tell a story.
Taking a photo from above can also be effective when taking a portrait of a child. In this next photo, I was standing up while he was sitting on the floor.
So this week, get out there, try it! Can’t wait to see what you guys do!
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram Facebook and Twitter to see more examples all week!

I'm definitely going to experiment more taking pictures from different angles. I usually take them head as well, but I'm all about switching it up.

Yes switch it up! You'd be amazed at what a different perspective can do for a photo!

I like taking photos from above to tell the story. I do that with my kids all the time. They usually throw me off when they look at me and say "cheese!". :)

I hate it when kids say cheese!!! Lol Pookah learned it at school and I keep trying to break that habit!
