Saturdays( a Photography Project) Jekyll Island Edition
Vacation is over!
*WEEPS…FIGHTS AIR*
But we had an AMAZING time. AMAZING.
In case you missed it, we took a weekend road trip to Jekyll Island. FUN TIMES!!
Saturday was a busy day as we tried to fit everything we could in. We had breakfast in bed, explored the island on bikes, strolled on the beach AND enjoyed the pool. There was so much to do and waaaay too little time to do it.
I repeat: WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!
I’m exhausted and need a vacation from my vacation. LOL
Stay tuned Wednesday for my review of the beautiful Jekyll Island Club.
But for now, enjoy our Saturday!
Your photos were very expressive and love the family smiles too! You look like you had a great weekend and love how you photos took my on your photography project every step of the way! Thank you for allowing me to learn something new as I have never heard of Jekyll Island and looks to be my type of place and food to enjoy!
What a lovely Saturday with family, food, and nature! It’s great that you found quality time to bond with them. Now I miss hanging out with my family since we’re always busy with work. The photos are so vivid and nice. The beach looked so clean and the water, refreshing.
I should have rode bikes when I was there but my lazy butt stayed inside most of the time lol. Glad you all had fun and the pictures look amazing can’t wait to see more
What a lovely vacation! I’ve never heard of that island, but now it’s on my want to visit list!
Absolutely loved the pics! Looked like you had an amazing time. Great food photography!
What beautiful pictures! It looks like an amazing place, and you all had a great time!
Such beautiful photos! Looks so relaxing and peaceful!
I honestly had to stop and google where Jekyll Island before I continued onto your blog post! LOL. First of all, this goes without saying but I wanted to say it anyway – your photos are freaking gorgeous. The food one’s, the riding the bikes into the sun ones….and the father/son duo on the bridge. Have you thought about printing some of these off and framing them? Like, for real they’re crazy nice looking.
Wow, your pictures are beautiful. Looks like you had an amazing family getaway. I keep looking at the breakfast/brunch photos, yum! I’ve never heard of Jekyll island but it looks like a beautiful place to visit.
You captured the entire weekend. I feel like I went with you!
Where is Jekyll Island? It looks beautful! I love the photo of your husband and son on the bridge! You have a beautiful family.
It is off of the coast of Georgia! About a 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive from Atlanta!
I saw Jekyll Island on tv on Southern Charm. It looks like a beautiful place to visit and we love the South. Nice change of pace from the DC life.
Lol. Sometimes I feel that way, too (exhausted and need a vacation from my vacation) even if I had a wonderful time. Your photos are amazing and Jekyll Island Club sounds like a great place to visit. We haven’t been there, but I would love for us to go there one day.
Looks like you had an amazing weekend full of summer fun! I always need a vacation after our trip between jet lag and the work to settle back into real life it is a lot of work. Can’t wait to hear your review!
Jekyll Island is the best. I havent been there in forever. I actually just moved from Jacksonville, FL to a small town in the state of Washington and actually really really miss the east coast as a whole. We will be back in a couple years so I guess I will have to live vicariously through you! LOL
I think most people feel they need a vacation after a long trip. My personal rule of thumb is this, if I blog about it, it’s work pure and simple, when I do NOT blog about a trip, THAT is a VACATION! Make sense? I know people think we are supposed to be ‘on’ all the time, but when I kick up my heels and no one is documenting me/it, that is my idea of vacation! 🙂
Wow it looks like you’ll had a great time! I love all the pictures. Really captures the essence of your trip. I’m glad you enjoyed the break away – we all need that rest & recharge time every now and then.
Your photos are truly amazing. I can really see the emotion in them. The bike ride and the beach appears to have been a very relaxing experience too.
Your vacation looks awesome and amazing and I would fight air too. You take the best photos and it makes me want to go all the places.
This looks like a great vacation!! And photos that you will treasure for a lifetime.
Oh, I love these pictures LaShawn, you are quite the photographer! God knows I neea a vacation too and it better be soon. I did not hear of Jekyll Island before, I will have to do a little research. You guys are so lucky that you could spent quality time together in such a beautiful place! Your boy is so cute, he looks a lot like you and definitely has your smile.
