Happy Monday! How is it the end of April already??? Why is time going so quickly? Anyway, here is what’s going on in my life this month!

WATCHING

Chewing Gum. Guys. WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS SHOW???? I’m so hot that I’m just finding about it as the 2nd season starts. It is HILLARIOUS, from the first episode. LOL.  I am in the middle of binge watching the first season so that I can get the second. If you haven’t checked it out, head on over to Netflix.

READING

I have a confession: I like fantasy and I like young adult fiction. Some of it is really good, and some of it is really bad. And some of it, really is for adults. I’m just saying. Right now, one of my favorite authors Sarah J Mass has the final book of her series Court of Thorns and Roses Series.  I am actually LISTENING to the first two books of the series on Audible right now.  I can’t WAIT until next week!

Listening

To  Photography podcasts.  I’m fascinated with listening to the process behind a photographer’s work and style. It took me a long time to get into Podcasts, but I think the key for me was finding ones that supported my interests. My favorites right now are The Family Photographer Podcast By Jenny Stein  , Creatively Unscripted  by Elena Blair and Candice Zugich, and the Chase Jarvis Live Show.

Making

need a quick weeknight dinner? Check out this easy 10 minute sheet pan shrimp scampi recipe!

This 10 minute Shrimp Scampi.…again…and again…and again… LOL.

Feeling

Relieved. Pookah got accepted into a Magnet School.

Listen.

I felt so relieved that I had choices that at first I didn’t care where it was, I just knew he would be going.  But I’m so excited that my child is going to get a quality education FOR FREE.

We have been paying for education for eight long years.

This is life changing! I’m nervous, of course, for my child to go from the sheltered environment of a church school to public school. But I’m sure it will be good for him. Broaden his horizons you might say. LOL.

Loving

Instagram Stories.

Guys, I feel like a traitor! I am a die-hard Snapchatter. I stan for Snapchat. While I have always understood why some of my favorite snapchatters abandoned Snapchat for Instagram stories, I wasn’t on board. But then I ventured on for my morning cup series. And then I found myself OBSESSED with the creative things you can do with Instagram Stories. And the things the creative people I follow are doing. While some of the stories are …bad ( like Snapchat), the majority in my feed are exciting, creative and fun! Added to the fact that Instagram Stories has that hands free option…..listen……

So I’ve been trying a few things other than my morning cup of coffee. Not everyday, but…I’m intrigued. Head on over to Instagram to see me trying to be more creative with my stories.. Who do you follow who has great stories on Instagram? And have you abandoned Snapchat?

My Trip to Mom 2.0! I need a dress for the Iris Aways because……….

I am humbled and excited that I got nominated for  THREE Iris Awards. GUYS!!!

I am nominated in Instagram of the Year, Best Photography and…..Mom Blog of the year? *insert blank stare*

I…have no words. Guys. Whoever out there who nominated me for any of these categories, I thank you. You have no idea how inspiring and uplifting this is for me. There are days when I wonder if anyone is paying attention to my little corner of the internet. But to know that someone is, is so humbling.

Thank you.
