Want to start your day off right but you are short on time? Check out these 3 morning rituals that you can do when you don’t have a lot of time.
I firmly believe that how you start the day, influences how the rest of your day shapes up.
I ‘ve talked before about my morning routine, and how I get up at 4 am just to get it all in.
Now I admit, my full routine my not happen every morning. Why? because I’m human! And on the weekends, I “sleep in”. Meaning, wake up around 6 or 7 instead of 4.
So what happens to my morning routine then?
I prioritize and make sure I do what I consider essential that help me start my day calmer, energized and ready for my day.
I know a lot of you have told me that you simply don’t have time to do everything that I do in my morning routine. My advice?
Prioritize!
So today I’m sharing 3 Morning rituals that I do no matter what time I wake up. Three things that YOU can squeeze in too!
3 Must Do Morning Rituals
1.I journal
One of the first things I do after I get out of bed are to fill up my jug of water and grab my journal. It helps me to sort out my feelings first thing in the morning before anything else. If I have time, I usually take 10-15 minutes to write in my main journal. If not, I jot down quick thoughts in my 5 Minute Journal.
Both work because I always make sure to write down what I’m grateful for and what my morning affirmations of the day are. Because those are two things are essential!
2. Exercise
The second thing I do is move my body! Walk, stretch, use weights, ride my Peloton, SOMETHING!
I have always preferred to work out in the morning because once my day gets going, it’s almost impossible for me to find time to workout!
Even if I only have 20 minutes, I sweat for that 20 minutes.
3. I eat Breakfast.
Listen. I know a lot of people skip out on breakfast because They don’t have time for it, or they are not hungry.
Listen. After fasting all night, your body needs to break it’s fast.
I know intermittent fasting is popular and even I tried it for a while.
But for ME to be at my best, I make time to eat breakfast. Now breakfast might not happen until 10 am, but breakfast will happen! Even on the days when I am my most rushed, yogurt with fruit and granola, half a avocado on toast, something!
Breakfast helps to get your metabolism moving and your brain going. So get something more than that cup of coffee!!!
I hope my 3 must do morning rituals help you think of what three things you need to get done every morning to have the best day you can!
