Last week, we took a quick road trip to Tybee Island, crossing one more thing off of our Summer Bucket List.
Simply put, we love the beach and have no problem jumping in our car for a quick ride to the Georgia Coast to get there.
It all started last Tuesday when we got up at the CRACK of dawn to drive to Savannah. We arrived around 930, ate a decadent breakfast ( GUYS, if you are in Savannah, please check out Two Cracked Eggs … the french toast was EVERYTHING).
After filling our bellies, we drove on to Tybee Island’s North Beach and spent the rest of the day getting bronzed and sanded. LOL
Guys, I could live at the beach, I swear!
And the next morning, we did it again before heading back home that night.
I highly recommend taking quick road trips in the summer. It was just the perfect getaway and felt like a mini vacation because we went in the middle of the work week.
I didn’t take as many photos as I usually do. Well, I take that back, I took a LOT of Instant photos with my Instax Mini90, but not with my traditional cameras.
Oh, I documented because that’s who I am. I’m the family documentarian.
But there is something to be said about putting your camera down and just enjoying the waves crashing on you and coming up with a mouth full of sand. Or falling asleep under the beach umbrella with the sound of the waves in the background…
It was a good getaway. Can’t wait for our next adventure.
And that was our roadtrip to Tybee Island! I’m already looking for our next quick roadtrip. Stay tuned…
All photos were taken with my Canon M50, My Olympus underwater camera, and my iPhone 7 plus.

How fun! We lived in Georgia for 3 years and never went to Tybee Island. Now I'm so disappointed. Funny how you never think of those things until you leave.
