More specifically, I love the flavors of fall. But let’s be real: it’s pumpkin season. So that means that it’s time for a new delicious dessert that incorporates…pumpkin.
I love monkey bread ( I mean who doesn’t like cinnamon rolls that ooze with every bite?) So when I made this pumpkin monkey bread recipe, I knew I had hit peak Fall behavior. This mini pumpkin monkey bread recipe is easy to make and perfect for fall evening. Because what’s better than pull-apart bread with pumpkin flavor?
So what is monkey bread?
Who knows where Monkey Bread got its name, but it’s also known as bubble bread. Classic Monkey bread is a tasty treat that has cinnamon sugar in every bite and tastes exactly like the middle of the center cinnamon roll.
How to Make Pumpkin Monkey Bread
This Pumpkin Monkey Bread recipe is so easy to make. You don’t need a stand mixer. It’s easily made with refrigerator biscuits like Bisquick or Grands. The recipe calls for a simple glaze made with pumpkin pie mix. It’s gloriously easy to make.
Before you get started gather the following:
Small bowl
Medium bowl
Spoon
Measuring cups and spoons
Piping bag or plastic bag or icing( a ziplock bag will do)
muffin/cupcake tin
cupcake liners
Ingredients Needed for your Mini Pumpkin Bread Recipe
Regular-sized flaky biscuit dough ( if you use GRANDS biscuits you’ll need to cut them smaller because they rise bigger in the oven.)
Sugar
Unsalted Butter
Light Brown sugar
Pumpkin puree
Pumpkin pie spice
Cinnamon
Cream cheese icing
Cooking Spray
Directions to Make Pumpkin Monkey Bread
Preheat your oven to 400
Line a 12 ct muffin tin with wrappers
Lightly spray with a non stick baking spray
Open the can of biscuits and cut the biscuits into cubes on a cutting board.
Make your sugar-spice mixture: Mix sugar and 1 tbsp pumpkin spice together in a small bowl
Toss cubed dough into the sugar mixture fully coating it.
Divide dough and add 4-6 pieces (depending on size) to the prepared baking tray.
In a small bowl, make the glaze: mix together melted butter, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice.
If the mixture is thick like baby food warm it up a little to thin it out.
Pour mixture over each muffin.
Bake for 12-15 min until golden
Let cool for about 8-10 min.
Top with cream cheese icing, optional
Eat straight out of the oven, or let cool and eat the next morning for breakfast with a cup of coffee.

- 1 tbsp pumpkin spice
- 1/2 stick of melted unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 can store bought cream cheese icing optional
- Baking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400
- Line a 12 ct muffin tin with wrappers
