Halloween Witches Hat cupcakes

Looking for something to take to the party or to make for your kids this Halloween? These halloween witch hat cupcakes are sure to be a huge hit. They are delicious and the perfect halloween treats.

There are a lot of great recipes that are Halloween themed. What is great about this one is that these easy witches hat cupcakes only take a little patience and don’t require any previous decorating experience!

Everything you need to make the cupcakes can be found at the grocery store.

First things: grab your equipment:

Gather Mixing bowls

Cupcake tin or cupcake pan, and make sure you have a cupcake liner for each cupcake .

Pastry bag fitted with 1M star tip 

And electric mixer ( one with or without a paddle attachment)

Witch Hat Cupcake Ingredients

1 package white cake mix (any brand)

3 egg whites

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 drop electric purple or violet gel food coloring 

24 fudge striped cookies

24 Hershey’s kisses 

and for the frosting you will need

2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature

6 cups confectioners sugar

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 drop electric green gel food color 

How to Decorate Your Witch Cupcakes

To make your frosting:

Add butter and cream cheese to a large bowl . Mix together with an electric mixer until creamy. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix on low speed

Slowly add in the heavy cream mixing as you go.

Once your vanilla frosting is complete, Add in a drop of green food gel color to make the green icing and mix for 4-5 mins on high.

This will incorporate air and make the frosting light and fluffy. 

Now it’s time to decorate the top of the cupcakes:

Fit a piping bag with a 1M star tip and add frosting to the plastic bag.

Pipe a thick circle starting in the center of the cupcake.

Place a cookie upside down on the cupcake.

Add frosting to the bottom of the Hershey’s Kiss candy and attach to the cookie.

Ingredients

  • Cupcakes:
  • 1 package white cake mix (any brand)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 drop electric purple or violet gel food coloring
  • Frosting
  • 2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 6 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 drop electric green gel food color
  • 24 fudge striped cookies 24 Hershey’s kisses

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 350
    Add all of the ingredients for the cupcakes to a mixing bowl and mix. Divide the mix evenly between 24 cupcake liners
    Bake for 15-18 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Allow cupcakes to cool in the pans for 10 mins, remove and let them finish cooking on a counter or cooling wrack.

    Make the frosting
